I tried to play some FIFA 12 today but it's just too boring at this point. January squads, shitty career mode, etc.
Is PES career mode any better?

I haven't played FIFA since 08 (part of the reason for that is manager mode was so shit i had no desire to pick up another) but generally I've seen other posters suggest that for single player modes, PES is the better option.

Generally I thought PES 2012 master league mode was fine, transfers are still kind of strange but otherwise it was well done. That being said, you would probably be better off buying PES 2011, there isn't a huge difference between the 2 and 2011 is much, much less annoying.

I really don't like the gameplay, or something about how the game feels (PES). It feels so badly done, very artificial, but in the visual section it is way better than FIFA.

Hopefully soon PES sales will stop and Konami will admit defeat and only release Kojima products and otherwise just focus on the mobile market... not all the national teams are licensed and it doesnt make any gameplay tweaks. Plus I think there is no way to play euro only online but I may be wrong about that.

All true and every time I turn it on it thinks I only own the trial version and I have to click and attempt to re buy it before it realises its the full version. The game has also hard locked my console multiple times. Worst piece of DLC I've ever owned. Just wait for 13 man.

Wellington Phoenix should not be allowed to play in the aleague because they are in a different confederation under FIFA.

FIFA gave 1 NZ team special dispensation to be in an AU league. That dispensation expires in 2014.

It will be interesting to see what happens with that. Where a tournament is held over multiple confederations, FIFA is supposed to run it.... but they have given the aleague a free pass for a little while to sort it out.

Nah, I don't think it's as simple as that. It's an opportunity that comes only 2 or 3 times in the average life of a footballer. I would be playing if I were him.

But something I noticed: he looked kind of mad in the end of the match against Greece. Maybe he didn't want to play until the end after all. And yeah, Kroos or Gundogan should definitely replace him in the semis. He says he's worried about his ankles.
