According to Canal+'s @PierreMenes, Laurent Blanc will tell FFF president Noel Le Graet he does not want to continue as France coach.

smh

What's wrong with Gustavo? He was decent in the CL.

I simply forget to list him but he's the defensive specialist anyway. They are still searching for a Vidal type player....

Tbh the only player i could see Bayern coughing up 40m+ for is Götze and he won leave Dortmund before 2014...

classy, if a bit disappointing. I remember Domenech just refusing to resign after disastrous campaign after disastrous campaign :lol, should have just let Nasri and co. take the fall. Wonder where he'll end up after this...

Alba for 15m is a hot deal, even if he is already partial to the odd cunty dive. Done it fucking loads vs France, but he's very good at underplaying it. Very good player though.

And he wasn't cheap either right? Throwing 40M on Javi is madness.

Gustavo was 17m (can reach up to 20 if they win the CL). I think we'll hear about Javi for a couple more weeks before the sign a guy who currently isnt on anyones radar (like Mandzukic).

The problem is he can't make good passess or join attack. Jupp wants a Vidal type of DM. I wouldn't mind if we sign a true CAM (Diego?) and let Kroos take the CM backup position.

Mainly because he moved to Juventus and ruined his career... but he showed his class at Atlético Madrid last season.

Yup. Is he staying there or going back to Wolfsburg?

He should've been in the Brazilian NT team (as a guaranteed starter) since the World Cup ended and Dunga was fired.

Is Diego still owned by Wolfsburg?

Yes.

I think Atlético is selling players, and not keeping Diego, so they can keep Falcao. Not being able to play in the CL fucked them.

Mancini is probably looking for a centre-half because Toure is old and Savic is shit. He needs someone decent and reliable to step in and also compete with the starting pair.

I don't think he'd go after a guy like Coloccini, Agger or Skrtel to have them sit on the bench. I think he is looking to replace Lescott as a starter. We could obviously keep him as a sub but he'd probably want to move if he wasn't starting, especially after having a very good season.

I'm not ready to completely give up on Savic yet.. I think he needs a year (or two) on loan at a minimum though. He was absolutely miserable down the stretch but did show a flash here and there. He wasn't expensive so I could see him being cast off quickly but he's young enough to improve IMO. That was a tough order for a just barely 21 year old.

That's a huge shame for them. I hope Diego can establish himself in a fucking team already.

I hope the French football federation hammer the crap out of Nasri. He is such a disruptive ass who needs to be taught a lesson. He's not even that good a player.

Jens Lehmann is once again talking about Kahn, Bayern and Neuer. To paraphrase it:

"I like seeing Manuel Neuer play, his playstyle reminds me of me. He's far more complete than Oliver Kahn." Jens Lehmann said in an SportBild interview. Regarding a possible penalty shootout he added, "Neuer ist a great keeper who showed that he can save a penalty but he shouldnt necessarily shoot one in between. That was very strange, i never saw a goalkeeper take a penalty during a shootout before. I dont know who ordered it but that was the most unintelligent thing i've ever seen."

I like his subtle shot at Kahn, guess he'll never change.

Poor AVB, he was so close to finding a new job.

Negredo starting for Spain is very surprising, is that some kind of secret weapon/trump card from Del Bosque? He must hate Llorente too.

Is there even a way to not hate Lehmann? I doubt it.

Lets do thissssss, prolly gonna be a boring ass game. 1-0 total domination from Spain seems likely, although Spain might want to score buckets of goals against their border rival.

I quite like Lehmann. Some of his comments are really funny and I remember him coming out of retirement to help us when we were desperate. Great man.

Besides he was the keeper during our invincible season so he gains awesome value for that as well.

I would've liked to see Spain's false 9 formation with this back 4:

Ramos - Pique - Martinez - Alba

Ah well.

Yeah that's probably fair, we were definitely going for Jones preseason last year. Personally I feel the deal worked out better for us in the end.

Don't know about that.

Jones was very good up to Christmas.

Coates couldn't get ahead of Carragher.

Looks shite playing for Spain.

nah, just constantly played out of position. He's not a winger, and he doesn't have the pace to play as a false nine. He's not as good as Xavi or Iniesta, so it makes sense for him to be dropped though.
