If they're willing to pay that, might as well try and get £40m straight up

Petrified of Stoke away first. With our shite mentality, that could easily derail our season before the engine's even started

Late to the match.

Portugal's Eder finally scores a goal lol.

The guy is high energy but continuously lacked concentration and finesse to get goals.

Last night he finally got one in,lol. Yeah it was a friendly but i will take it.

Portugal's B team seemed more focused then their A team minus CR7

And we have Arsenal as our last home game of the season.

December through the end of February looks fairly solid for City but the end of the season will be very difficult.

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
Ammers v Arsenal opening day. Ideal.

Tough as fuck fixtures for when we play in midweek though.

Looks like Liverpool are holding out for every last penny, wonder if Chelsea will swoop in?

Cant see us wanting to get involved. Buying from Liverpool doesn't really work out, and we won't want to pay £50m~ for someone who isn't the finished article.

Plus we're too busy trying to get Ox haha

De Gea is gonna drag on all summer I can feel it especially if it's true about him moaning about Casilas.

On one hand I understand Liverpool playing hardball with their most prized asset but on the other hand it's fucking 40m and good luck getting more within the next 2 years given he's a putrid little shit. Unless he does a complete U turn and knuckles down at Liverpool until his contract is up.

In other news, Newcastle have gotten nowhere in the transfer window. Newcastle navigating the transfer window is the equivalent of trying to understand quantum physics. I genuinely believe Steve McClaren does though.

They're "highly interested" in Tyrone Mings from Ipswich apparently. And, from what I've read, we're not accepting any less than £8million. Which is quite hilarious.

Aaron Cresswell was a much better left back than Mings, and I think we only got about 3 million for him.

Sell Sterling already, christ.

He clearly doesn't want to play for us anymore.

If they're offering £40m this early in the window, might as well try and get to 45/50. Their only other target seems to be Wilshere, which ain't happening. And Sterling staying isn't a disaster, so we can afford to try and get the price as high as possible.

Damn, footy thread on page 2? What is this madness.
Anyway, England under 21 game is quieter than the Etihad. Every now and then the commentator screams KANE! and I look up to see the ball head into row z.

Guys, I just watched a scene from some porn movie and one of the dudes in there had a PHILIPP WOLLSCHEID shirt.
I peed on myself when I saw it.

Sterling is clearly affected the entire dressing rooms morale. After how we ended last season, I'm not surprised Rodgers isn't buckling down harder on everyone.

I have faith in Rodgers, I simply don't have faith in the players right now. I know he can get us success but after how we just went on a downward spiral since Man Utd, I just don't trust our squad.

Best wishes.

We have no grinta, throughout the setup. Give up too easily, don't have the fortitude to ride it out when the other team has a period of domination, aren't capable of convincingly grinding a result out like Chelsea, where they can be shit in attack but still defend well to win 1-0.

I think those 7 away matches will get Rodgers sacked, unfortunately. Even if we improve from last season, starting the season well with those fixtures is going to be incredibly difficult, and he's on a knife edge already. Doubt FSG will give him any leeway either because of said fixtures. Like last season, looks like the first months will be a mess, and we'll need to go on a massive run of form to drag ourselves back into contention.

Or maybe we'll actually do okay. Momentum is so important though, and we've been handed fixtures which will in all probability see us on a negative trajectory from the very beginning. I very much doubt there's some conspiracy, but I don't recall anyone getting a run of away fixtures like that, especially from the first game of the season. Even the ones against midtable teams come with the caveats of Stoke being bloody tough to play against at the Britannia, and Everton being a derby.

Still, that home stretch will be easy for Klopp :p

I think we expect to sell Sterling, just a case of getting as much money as possible for him. If he could pay for Benteke and Clyne, we could use the money we have to significantly strengthen elsewhere, like DM and LB which are still way too short of options past Lucas and Moreno. We'd need to replace Sterling as well, which in all honestly wouldn't be that difficult probably. It doesn't have to be someone with huge potential, just someone who can replicate what he gave us last season.

Historia que tú hiciste,
historia por hacer
porque nadie resiste
tus ganas de vencer.

Ya salen las estrellas
mi viejo Chamartín
de lejos y de cerca
nos traes hasta aquí.

Llevo tu camiseta
pegada al corazón,
los días que tú juegas
son todo lo que soy.

Ya corre La Saeta,
ya ataca mi Madrid
soy lucha, soy belleza
el grito que aprendí.

Madrid,
Madrid,
Madrid
¡HALA MADRID!
y nada más,
y nada más
¡HALA MADRID!

West Ham sign an 18 year old Norwegian Striker, apparently he was in Man City's youth team.

I like our new home shirt, it'll be the last one with the current West Ham crest, it's a shame I couldn't get a Season ticket for the last season at the stadium since they sold them early and I couldn't afford one since I was at Uni, ah well, I'll be sure to be first in line for the final match of the season when those tickets come out, hopefully the game will have some meaning that's not fighting against relegation.

'They were interested then I went through a sustained period of shite form, so now I'm kicking them while they're down, and getting my new fans onside by pretending to give a solitary shit about their league'

Basically

Regardless, he's probably not exactly wrong, he does have a bigger chance of winning things at Fenerbahce, even if its in a less prestigious league

the hate is real

it's just the club newest song. trying to get hyped for next season

Propoganda that has become more and more cringeworthy and transparent as Barca have easily overtaken them in footballing relevance

your 5 CL wins is the one being threatened by Barcelona
Real Madrid is (notice present tense) one of the top 3 teams worldwide at this very moment
