To the better. I know its hard to accept a change in habits but its business and its necessary. Schweini had to play in front of alonso, Bayern wouldnt offer him 12 million anymore. So he did the best and signed a deal that also gave him a proper role.I haven't changed. Bayern has changed.
Yes m8. We should remember what happened after 2001 when we missed the transition. So let me remind you that change will not be easy. Change will take time. There will be setbacks and false starts and sometimes we'll make mistakes.
Don't tell me we can't change.
So what?Vidal is only going to cause trouble. Remember when he was drunk and crashed his Ferrari in the distant past of last month?
That's just sad
Saints have got Clasie for £8.4M or thereabouts. What a steal!
Well, I made my first run for this season's Fantasy Football Farce.
He was always injured for me on Football Manager, so forever his reputation will be tarnished.
Vidal is only going to cause trouble. My problem is not transition, my problem is Vidal.
So what?
We have tax evaders, smugglers, sex with underages, etc.
We are not some holy church for high horse morale prayers. We are a profit making sports club and people have faults but as long as they deliver on a sports level one rotten egg is acceptable. Vidal is worldclass and his abilities help us immediately.
Arsenal are going to do terrible this season if Wenger does not sign any offensive players. We could also use a defensive midfielder and a centre back.
Man Utd have improved significantly but it pains me to see Wenger not doing anything in the transfer market. He even suggested Wilshere is a perfectly valid wide option
:maximum facepalm:
The obsession of playing players out of position continues. G zuz.
You get to keep an unhappy/unmotivated player that wants to be somewhere else and then get nothing in return a year after that ordeal.
And a player of that caliber going to a CL rival for free to me is worse than "being taken for mugs".

Christian Benteke looks set to leave Aston Villa with Liverpool ready to meet the forward's £32.5m exit clause.
A few papers saying we want Axel Witsel and Roman will do the negotiating himself (like he did for Willian/Eto'o)
Also, Filipe Luis back to Atletico next week it seems
You forgot Rode?I am with you there.
He is never going to get along with Pep. He is another Mandzukic, Ibra, etc.
Also, in this particular case, a player I never wanted to see at Bayern.
I'd rather lose the semi-final again with Kimmich,Hojbjerg.

But I guess they are going all-in for Pep to win the CL this year. I just hope he leaves after this season, as a winner or as a failure.

Does Bayern-GAF know anything about Rico Strieder?
Came from the Bayern reserves to Utrecht...
The S*n were saying United were buying him according to the BBC's gossip column. Can't believe we're fighting with United for Benteke.

You're going to win the league now. Buying players from Bayern.

Ok, I see your point but do you seriously think Thiago, Lewandowski, Alaba or Müller would stay if we are knocked out in group stage of CL? Vidal plays a position only Thiago and Lahm are playing. Gaudino is years away and Hojbjerg has only Kimmich and Alonso to battle for the 6. Bayern and Pep want to win the CL again with this generation of players at any cost and if you look at our 14 starters, its possibly the strongest squad Bayern ever had, maybe the best European one for decades.I'd rather lose the semi-final again with Kimmich,Hojbjerg.
I just also feel that Bayern is losing its identity. The CL win meant more because Alaba, Müller, Lahm, Schweini were essential players in it. I don't want to win it the Real way.
Wouldn't that be great Linius, you know you want it too.
£32.5m for Benteke
what are you doing
Spending extra now to make sure that we don't have to panic-buy at the end of the window, or have to spend the season with a choice of Ings and Origi up front since an available Sturridge will be a bonus.
As with Sterling, the proof will be in the pudding. There's no reason that Benteke couldn't score 15+ league goals for us in which case he'd be worth it imo, and Sterling will be worth more than £50m in a couple of years if he develops properly.
Also have to consider that we're not just paying for a striker, we're paying for an improvement over a group of players who were frankly abysmal last year. Christ, he could score 5 league goals and that'd be a gargantuan improvement over what we had last year
On the face of it think £32.5m is probably overpriced by about £7.5m (a 1 in 2 record across 3 seasons is nothing to sniff at) and I'm happy enough paying over the odds for it, even if its a lot less safe than you'd hope for with that much money involved. Who are the safe strikers available to a team outside the CL though, with no guarantee that we'll be back in it any time soon?
Good outcome, would rather have Liverpool fall on their swords than United and this may direct them to better striker signings.
Any truth in those Lewandowski rumours?
