Nah mate, problem with Özil is his consistency and his development.
He got the potential to be even better and it just didn't happen over the last 2 years, while other players like Reus got further in the development and are simply better.
It looks like he's lacking a bit of willpower, he could be worldclass, but he's nothing getting further with his development lately.
This season he's got alot to prove and bring in some consistency.
Man City played two up top the other day. Atletico won the league playing two up top all season. Liverpool played two up top at times. We're playing 3-5-2. So are hull and fucking QPR.
Fucking maddening how people don't think 4-4-2 can work. If Chelsea had another decent striker it would work with their team.
Fuck, play Schurrle up front. Matic and Fabregas are absolutely good enough to play up front this season.

Fabregas has zero discipline. Wenger's obviously not going to be the one to tell his golden boy that he can't play as a 10. everyone wants to be a fucking 10. ozil's a 10, cazorla's a 10, ramsey's a 10, wilshere's a 10, ox sees himself "centrally" whatever the fuck that means, fabregas is a 10, fucking rosicky is a 10. how many 10s do we need in this team????

Don't put anyone on the wing? You don't play with conventional wingers anyway. And it doesn't really matter that much because you have a lot of good footballers than are very good at exploiting space when you have possession. Whoever takes up that position can do damage. But if you want to put someone specific there then it's Ozil.

We are assuming he is not match fit. He wasn't even on the bench this week. Senderos didn't look awful, I was pretty nervous when I saw that. Both Hutton and Cissokho looked great on the wings. N'Zogbia was invisible, but it was his first match back in over a year. Excited to see Grealish come off the bench this season, and I'm intrigued to see a midfield three of Delph, Sanchez, and Westwood. I think Sanchez can help Westwood flourish.

Yes but look at where he played for Chelsea tonight. He moved all around the pitch and generally just played balls through to the front three. lol at this obsession with 10s. What do you mean by discipline anyway.
If we look at the formation on paper (let's say 4-2-3-1), you could say that Cesc/Arteta play on the right alongside Matic/Ramsey on the left. They generally switch around anyway so it doesn't really matter where they play.
I'd rather have Sanchez/Walcott/Ox on the wing over Ozil.
We have too many players that want to play centrally as it is.

No you can't. Matic was consistently deeper than Cesc today.
Arteta is consistently deeper than Ramsey.

Good win for Chelsea today. Although it is only against Burnley, who played well but are not of the highest quality, our new signings bedded in well and gave our team a new impetus. That second goal especially was fantastic, hope to see more of that - Cesc was more than deserving of the Man of the Match. Courtois made a good save too, looked assured.
Only disappointments were the lack of a clean sheet and the Costa yellow card - but oh well. Football is back!

It's not my obsession with 10s. It's Wenger's. He keeps buying all these players that he know are woefully ineffective anywhere other than as a 10 and those that actually are effective on the wing all want to play centrally. it makes no fucking sense.

Bent was on the bench, and I thought he should have gone on late game for Agbonlahor. I really don't know where Gabby fits in, especially after Benteke and Kozak are fit.
