The atmosphere is shit but as a venue for an event, it is fantastic.

May as well drop the real football perspective now because this isn't about that. It's about hosting a showpiece event.

There isn't a stadium in England that comes close to being capable apart from maybe the Emirates or Twickenham.

Wembley is good when you are actually watching the game. The concourse and surrounding areas are absolute shitholes, though.

Why are there escalators. It's not westfield, it's a football stadium

Why is the PA at 4 million decibels.

Why do they play fucking shit pop throughout the day

Why are there so many club wanker prawn sandwich seats

Why, in a 90k seater stadium can they manage to have sets of fans around like 20k each. See point 4 for further details

Criteria to host the semis/final include having a minimum capacity of over 70k. Rules out most of the alternatives.

Yeesh 70k minimum? Would rather tell the corporates to shove it and stick it at Villa Park or St James.

Surprised Wembley will hold both Semis. Seems abit silly.

They should have it so all countries as host city auto qualify or England won't make it.

German FA withdrew Munich's bid just before Euro 2020 vote. Platini suggests there might have been an agreement betwen FA & DFB re 2020/2024

Yes Germany.

Well considering qualifying is still 4 years away, it'd be difficult.

Sure, but what are the odds that the big nations won't qualify with the new qualification mode? Pretty much impossible to fuck up.

From what I remember, Germany will get to play 2 out of the three group matches at home.
Oh okay.

Will be also interesting to see what they'll do with Romania, Hungary and Azerbaijan as they're in danger of not qualifying (from today's point of view). Would be terrible to play matches in the country when the own team isn't even qualified.

You forgot England, no way they're qualifying for the semi final.

Can it be true? DDM7 is the only player to score a direct freekick this season in the PL?

Also

Manchester United have won only four of their last 17 Premier League games on a Sunday (D7 L6).

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Benoit Assou-Ekotto has been suspended for three matches and fined £50,000, subject to any appeal, after he denied an aggravated breach of FA Rule E3.

The Tottenham Hotspur player was also warned as to his future conduct and ordered to complete a compulsory education course. He was also ordered to pay the full costs of the hearing.

Mr Assou-Ekotto was charged by The FA with improper conduct concerning social media postings relating to the quenelle gesture performed by Nicolas Anelka in December 2013.

An embarrassing end to his Spurs career.

It looks like Morata still isn't going to get the start against Milan. I can't fucking believe it.

He played maybe 7 competitive minutes in our last two matches. In that time, he nearly scored a goal with a brilliant turn-and-shoot against Udinese, and broke down the Malmo wing and would of scored, but instead drew a free-kick on the edge of the box from which Tevez scored. And he scored a hat-trick in our training match.

He's in form now where Llorente is looking a bit off his game, and this is our toughest match yet. We need to play the inform player.

It's unacceptable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALBSfmlmXhM (click the link and close your eyes and just listen to it if you speak Italian :p)

Don't enjoy Wembley's concourse etc. but it's a great place for watching football matches. Was a brilliant atmosphere in the Portsmouth games I went to there.

Please give him a new contract.

Looks like Carrick is back in full training. Our midfield options look much more encouraging now:

-----------------Blind/Carrick------

Herrera/Fletcher----Di Maria/Januzaj

--------------Mata-FELLAINEH-------

Fletch will go in the summer and Strootlord will replace him.
