Nah. United was able to, in just 2 years, lose the competitive respectability they had acquired in Europe. He's gonna change that.
Even Fergie managed to grind average squads decently far into Europe. Biggest thing LvG lacks is no touchline presence and little emotion. That is needed in the EPL and at a club like this.
Having your assistant manager constantly need to be the one on the lines is not good enough. Giggs should stay on if JM will work with him, but I understand if he leaves to manage elsewhere. He's just not ready for this job yet.
JM will give the team some more passion. Just hopefully not too much crying. Some spikey conferences are fine like the master Fergie but JM none of your depressing rants please. I think Chelsea had a lot more issues in the camp at the end than just JM though.
