I fucking hate having no internet! Having to tether my phone but I only have 750mb of Data :/ Don't get my internet till March 6th which sucks.

I also have got tickets to see Chelsea play Sparta Prague on Thursday but no one to go with! All my friends are away which is absolutely shit. So does anyone want to come to the game with me? Worked out alright for Freewheelin' last time when he saw us smash Villa 8-0!

I would so love a 0-7 tomorrow. Not so much because I am a Bayern fan but rather to witness a meltdown of supernova proportions on GAF.

Wenger would find a job at Wolfsburg effortlessly after that.
If you're looking for a meltdown a 7-0 scoreline is probably a better bet.

Almost everyone expects Bayern to take Arsenal apart.

The "FC Hollywood" nickname was not intended in a good way, even if it came to chime with the glitz and glamour of Bayern Munich, the irresistible draw of Germany's No1 sporting institution. Spawned during Giovanni Trapattoni's chaotic first spell as manager in 1994-95, it was a reaction to the ego and the infighting, to the club's ability to drive soap-opera story lines, which were not always entirely related to the football.

Bayern have, at various times, felt like the gift that keeps giving to the nation's yellow press and a glance at six degrees of scandalous separation illustrates the point. When Trapattoni infamously lost his cool at a press conference in 1998, towards the end of his second spell in charge, two of his targets from an under-performing squad were Mario Basler and Thomas Strunz. The club was so concerned about the off-field antics of some of the players, particularly Basler, that they hired a private detective to monitor them, while Strunz would see his wife leave him for his Bayern team-mate, Steffen Effenberg.

This is the same Effenberg who was asked in an interview about his €5m salary. "Five-and-a-half million," he interjected, by way of correction. Effenberg loathed Lothar Matthäus, the Bayern midfielder, and Matthäus loathed him – their public battle was a feature of the 1990s – and then there was the goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, who caused uproar in 2003 when he walked out on his pregnant wife to take up with a nightclub hostess.

There has long been an element of the devil about Bayern. Uli Hoeness, who is now the president, has admitted that during the 1980s he would aim pre-match jibes at the opposition in order to drum up interest and help to fill the stadium; Bayern no longer have that problem. More recently, Franck Ribéry was charged with having sex with an underage prostitute and Philipp Lahm made headlines when he criticised Jürgen Klinsmann's managerial tenure in his autobiography.

I love Wenger's press conference that was GOLD! Wenger is getting very frustrated and angry with the losses but he's taking it out on the wrong people.

Might come if I don't have work, but if not then I'm sure Cuntwheelin' is down again.

Although I can understand if you don't want to see him again. He is a demon.

Cool. See if any Chelsea fans want it first but they hardly post here. If one comes forward then I will let them have it ahead of someone who supports fucking United.

I can't play FIFA in a library :/ FML!

You need to get back on Fifa asap ;)

I'm not sure what to expect from the Bayern game tomorrow night to be honest. It's universally accepted that the German team will most likely come away with a positive result if not a win, but that's on the basis of Arsenal's current decline in contrast to the superb form of their opponents. I'm half expecting a surprise performance - we tend to get them in Europe during a failing domestic campaign with Arsenal.

Bayern are a very good side but we've played better, and have beaten better. The question is, could we see such a performance tomorrow night? I'm not expecting anything. No one is. That in itself could be the perfect pretext for the players to restore some pride.

Quietly hopeful

Got asked about Blackburn, wanted to speak about Bayern. Asked about Bayern, wanted not to speak about Bayern.

we r the stupid ones

He wanted to speak about the Bayern game, not the Bayern defence which is what the question was.

Same old media cap the happens in every press conf. They ask about the opposition so they can have a headline like "manager thinks oppositions defense is too good" or some weird bullshit that they extrapolate (make up) from a one word answer.

Wenger shot it down, for once, and everyone goes crazy.

Who has this team beaten that was better? Liverpool? Face it, we aren't going through. :(

What kind of question would have been acceptable then?

Arsene's fit was amazing. I don't think he would last much in Italy.

I agreed with him - the rumour of him signing a contract extension is nothing but an incendiary to bring up his future as a topic of discussion amongst the papers. They aren't going to ask him "Arsene, will you resign if you get knocked out in the CL?", so instead they chose to force an answer from him by denying the rumours.

It's boring.

Every football fan and journalist knows the status quo at Arsenal. There's no point trying to dramatise whenever we lose a game

Doesn't that someone need a ticket?

Out of interest, have any Liverpool fans rewatched the 2007 CL Final? Were we as dominant in the first half as I remember?

Honestly not watched it since being in Athens. Can't recall how we played at all. I seem to remember I thought we still had a chance after Kuyt scored, but I don't even know what minute that was. The big mistake was leaving Bellamy out :(

Barca. Granted, we don't have the same team but neither are we facing the same quality of opposition. One constant in both examples is that we, in a background of a disappointing league run, were faced with a monumental challenge in Europe.

We have enough quality to beat Bayern and most of the teams remaining in this tournament. It's just a question of whether we'll manage to conjure that quality tomorrow. Football logic says we can. How often have we seen teams out of form produce a performance when they most needed it?

Almost exactly the team I expected, but Jones instead of Raf and Welbz instead of RVP/Roo. Suppose Welbeck won't play in the next round or two of the PL and then will play again against Madrid.

Good enough team to get us a win for sure.

Pennant was very good in that match I think. And in the 3 months before he left :p

You don't.

I'm sorry to be blunt but I can't think of any other way to put it.
