How are you only just discovering VGCW? I watch it almost religiously when he live streams for about 6 months now, but he's been going on longer.

You have to watch live. The live experience with the live chat is so much better.

Really enjoyed that World Cup. 2006 has been my favourite of the ones I've seen.

2010 sucked. I was really hyped for it and it was rubbish.

2010 wasn't as bad as many make it out to be. Yeah the vuvuzelas were annoying as fuck, but the tournament itself had it's moments. Suarez becoming a hero and saving Uruguay, NZ undefeated, Spain continuing their domination all goals scored by Barca players btw(5 Villa, 2 Iniesta, 1 Puyol), horrible ref decisions(Tevez offside goal vs Mexico, Lampard goal vs Germany, Kaka red for nothing..I think that was wc10..., the vuvuzelBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

And I saw a post here the other day saying "there were barely any goals, all games were 1-0 or 2-1" but I remember CNN talking about the same thing saying that the whole tournament had like 5 goals less than 2006.





My overall opinion:
2010 WC wasn't amazing, but it wasn't as shit as some say either. People just can't handle the cunt that is Iniesta winning so many things.

I've also just remembered France beating New Zealand in the quarter finals of the same tournament. That's was a good one too.

That was a great game. So many salty fans over here over the "forward pass before the try" and "bullshit yellow" lololol.

As for more great games, Euro 08(I think?) when Turkey made it to those semi's. They played some insanely entertaining games along the way.

world cup 2010 sucked. Of the ones I've seen (94,98,02,06,10) I think I liked 2006 best. Zidane exhibition was just magical, him shitting all over the brazilians was a sight to behold.

Although I didn't personally watched it (was born that year), most people (the neutrals) will probably pick 86 as the greatest ever.

Watched a UEFA goals compilation on the flight home yesterday.

That Nayim lob over Seaman had me fucking chortling. I love, fucking love, a good doomed keeper backpedal.

Also, Ronald Koeman could fucking strike a ball.

I was lucky enough to be on a US flight (Economy seat) that had live satellite TV. One of the channels had hours of scheduled Champions League highlights of the midweek games. Surrounded by Americans, 30,000 feet in the sky, it was the last place I thought I'd see a football match.
