So the gist of the story is that Nintendo discovered a bug within some Game Cube CPUs that would cause an issue with copies of Metroid Prime. This would cause animation issues so the devs at Retro had to freeze a dev kit to replicate the bug and fix the issue. Interesting stuff if you ask me. I'm curious if it could be replicated. There may be copies out there that could replicate the bug and according to Jack if anyone reported the issue Nintendo would send out a replacement disc with the fixed code on it.
