I hate my ISP so hard! Something like this on a dedicated server is damn shame. Unfortunately, not MSs problem really. But god damn, thats frustrating.

It's funny because before this game came out, and even when I first started playign it, I was saying how awesome the hood-cam looked and that I was going to race with it. But now that I've spent a few hours with it, I prefer cockpit view. I love the subtle camera movements caused by bumps in the road, it makes it look really authentic. There's also something about cockpit view that just makes the game look better visually...I'm not sure why. That sounds like BS, and I don't know how to explain it, but I definitely notice a difference. I'm not saying the graphics are better in cockpit view, obviously, just that the game itself looks better while using that view. Perhaps it's the first-person perspective.

For those who are experiencing crashes, here's a repost of what I've posted earlier in the thread. Really appreciate your help, and thanks to those who've already messaged me with details:

If anyone's experiencing crashing can you send me a PM with your gamertag along with your console info. To get there you go settings->system->console info.

Would also be good to know how full your HDD is and if you're using an external HDD. Also information about what you were doing when the game crashed would be nice along with what type of crash it was (crash to dashboard, game freezed with that loud noise, etc).

Dammit. Game just crashed on me (the buzzy noise crash) following the prize giving for the Stormchaser event. And when I reloaded the game it hadn't saved that I had completed the event.

Switched off the console in disgust. That's me done for today.

I disagree. It should be much lower due to all the technical issues. I am a big fan of Forza (all Forza games) and this has been the most frustrating, bug ridden, technical mess of any past games. It is almost a crap shoot to load it because you don't know if things are going to be jacked up. I am not fully talking lock ups as I only had one, but just all the other issues like graphical issues, falling through the environment, when it compares what you did with others people are getting those weird characters and 999,999,999 points.

It is such a damn good looking and fun game when it runs properly, but this game has some serious issues that need to be fixed. As I said before and it was kind of a jab at Driveclub, but this game should of been pushed back just a bit to get the bugs worked out.

Never had any crashes or technical issues beyond the server stuff which seems to be sorted now. Sorry for those who are having problems.

I havent gotten any crashes but I'm not in the preview, so yeah. However, I'm a bit curious though why both Forza 5 and Horizon 2 were the only games crashing with the dash preview.

I've been playing for a good few hours tonight and had no crashes(touch wood)

Just broke into gafs top 100!

Game is great but I've been noticing the occasional hitch, happens every 10-15 minutes and it's not a big deal but it's getting kind of annoying.

Usually happens when I'm hitting fast speeds, it's like the game freezes for a fraction of a second. Still really distracting, has anyone else seen this?

Well, this morning I had a few more crashes but ever since I went and disconnected from XBL I've had no issues all day. I'm convinced the crashes are something online scoreboard related now. To the people who are and the people who aren't having crashes, are you a member of a club and do you play connected to XBL?

I'm starting to think that being in the GAF club might be causing the problems with it having so many members. It's a theory, probably wrong!

Thinking now. I never crashed or hardlocked before I joined the GAF club, but now I had 4 last night. Maybe it's that?

I think its because of the network issues. In FM5 I would see hitch when the servers were down and came back up mid race. The servers have been wonky since launch for H2 so I assume its whenever it sorts itself out it causes a hitch because it just reconnected.

I'm playing in solo mode though...? What do the servers have to do with it?

I've seen this kind of thing in every forza motorsport game, it has to mostly be down to their netcode as in those years I have been on multiple connections in different locations.

Since I got the latest dash update (i'm in preview program) my games freezes all the time. It was all fine till today when I got the update, now it's really terrible. In last 20 minutes or so my game froze 6 times. I have half of my hard drive free, I don't use external hard drive either. It happens mostly when I smash the bonus boards or when I leave photo mode.
