Not a bad effort for a 1 day weekend. Got home 10pm saturday night(australia) after being away for work and managed to play about an hour or so before nearly passing out. Then played a fair bit yesterday and managed to get to level 25 and saved enough credits for my Veneno. Absolutely love driving this beast. Keep switching between the Veneno and the 2013 Viper.

I've been mostly OK performance-wise, but it did get worse after the beta dashboard update that was meant to provide fixes for FH2.
I've gotten that horrible screeching crash twice now, but it's CTD'd both times.
And I still haven't found that last road. I checked Sisteron and the dam east of it, but that wasn't it. :/

I am really sick of all the dumb cross country races. I dont want to drive my F'N Ferrari through a god damned vineyard. I want to carve the roads, not go off roading in a $400,000 super car with low-pro tires. This is stupid as shit.
The games is saying hey let's do a Super GT championship series, and then 2 of the damn races I am off roading in a Maserati. This shit is stupid.

There are plenty of rally/SUV classes, or even hot hatches which would be ok off road, but when I pick super cars, or GT, I'm in the mood for some road/circuit racing, not ploughing fields

Amen, I pre ordered FH:2 and drive club and now after 6 hours with Forza, I am ready to try Dive club. I am shocked to say I think Drive club may be my preference.Agree slightly less emotionally

I knew their would be off roading but I thought with vehicles that made sense (rally cars/trucks).

This is literally the only issue I have with the game. I cannot fathom why they threw in cross country and other off road variant races into championships with cars that would never do such things. I'm not that far in- aren't there dedicated rallye championships for off road vehicles?
Because its fun? I don't see what the problem is, I'm enjoying every race in every vehicle so far, Cross Country is a great change of pace and requires some fine vehicle contra skills in high end cars, all in all it's great fun for me. Can't put the game down.

Well hopefully you enjoy DC more. I like the open world of FH2. Not so much the racing on rails of DC and Foza 5.
I think the reward cars were just a one time thing based on your tier when you redeemed your first set of rewards.

Had my first crash.
Never been in the preview program - was threading the needle in the first highway tunnel between Nice and the Festival, making the road trip after completing the Amercian Racers championship.
Stalled with a loud noise - the game seppuku'd a few seconds later.

Might have been discussed but didn't see it in the last few pages. Anyone else get it where the voice in the game is gone? I didn't hear that host guy for 90% of the game even the last long ass race in the game the ending had him talking but no sound from him. My wife plays a bit on the same console and it does the same thing from the first minute she put the game in.

I've saved a few, but when I go to the gallery on ForzaMotorsport.net all I see is a single shot I must have taken back in Forza 3. Servers mussed up on this end? Or is there a new location for the Horizon 2 gallery?

Hard reboot or try changing your audio settings from whatever they are to something else and back again. Something happens to cause the center channel, where the dialogue emanates from, to drop out. Changing from DTS to Dolby and back again fixed it for me, but it may take simply turning off optical or HDMI audio out setting and back to do the same.

Didn't share them - just saved them, so that's probably it, thanks. I don't remember having to specifically share them with the first Horizon, but then again my memory isn't what it used to be. I think.

That happened to me earlier today, in a different part of the game. They clearly did not test this game very well. It seems like they rushed it out the door to release it before the competition because it has been a while that I have played a game this jacked up. I am thinking of just shelving the game for a bit until they fix it.
Any word Helios on what they are going to address? You have to admit, the number of people and the number of issues is not typical of a Forza title.
Same exact thing happened to me. Crash on the road trip back from a championship. Stalls and just get a repeated stutter sound. Restarted and it did it again. I'm done for the night with this. There's obviously an issue with the latest preview update and this game.
So...I just tried the online out. Its fun, a lot of fun, BUT some people are so bent on just trying to car pit you, man. I doesn't piss me off, but trying to finish some of these races are difficult when other players are like, "NOPE, GONNA JUST CRASH INTO YOU". That being said, the pace of leveling up online is so fast!
Yeah, you definitely have to be ready for bumper cars if you're playing online with randoms. Even in team events I have people on my team trying to take me out.

I found the best thing to do is either hope to get in front so you are not in the crash fest that is the middle positions, or stay back and let them all crash into each other for the first hard turn and then pull ahead of them. Sometimes neither work, but most of the time you can avoid the crash fest.

I agree with this.
Loving the game apart from this aspect. It's really quite silly considering the amount of other classes that would be more suited to these types of races.
I hope they release some DLC with some proper GT events that are focused on being on the road and staying on the road.
The game should punish you for going off road in events where you shouldn't but it doesn't at all. It should be a skill based game but it stops being one when you see people cut half a corner to reach a checkpoint on a road race.

I'm not sure how much of that is players being aggro and how much is lag - I've seen cars just pop into and out of existence. To be sure to anybody I played with, if I ran you off the road it was never intentional.
I dug the online too, but I'm sure I pissed people off when I won some championships after coming in last on a couple of races. The mix of racing skill, style XP and my assists (ABS only) kept me on top throughout, even when I was sure I would drop a few places in the standings.
