We're getting a teaser of gameplay, and full gameplay thing is obviously at E3 with MS I think. Previous updates have been around 2pm or 5pm, so could still be just under 5 hours away from whatever the teaser is.

The first Horizon was one of my favourite racing games of last gen. Loved the progression system, loved xp multiplayer gameplay element, loved the open world set up. Once the LE version is up for preorders, no questions asked, I'm there.

Wrong. I doubt the 360 version is being built from the ground up with it's own assets. It will likely use most of the assets from the XB1 main version minus the higher LOD detail levels. Those will make a big difference though.

That's my educated guess anyway!

I think the Xbox360 version will actually use car assets from FM4/Horizon(with any new cars scaled down or rebuilt) and then the environment will be significantly scaled back in many aspects, including texture resolutions, reduced # of trees(or replaced with very basic, uglier ones), cheaper smoke effect, reduced foliage in general, lesser anti-aliasing technique, reduced general environmental detail(taking out power lines, signage, lamp posts, stuff like that), and possibly carrying over the lighting from FH1.

Never had a wheel that was 360 compatible - was it good with Fh1? I often find the more arcadey games work perfectly well with a controller so I rarely break out the wheel for those.

I think so. I even made a custom table for it and used a chair that I can lean back in. Wasn't anything close to what the Turn 10 guys have set it to demo but it was perfect for me. I think I got it on sale for $99. My brother has the wheel that supports Gran Turismo (not the very expensive one) and that's also good. It just adds that extra layer of immersion.

Call me crazy but I would love to use an updated wireless speed wheel with rumble triggers for FH3. I kinda loved that thing on 360.

not essential, but boy did it help the feel of FH1. the force feedback on the different surface types, and transitions between them felt so so good on the wheel. i too don't need a wheel typically for arcade like games, but i cant imagine playing horizon without it again. between fm5 and now fh2, i'll probably bend over and pick up a replacement for the x1.

Also what's up with those price? $60/ £50 / €70 respectively $60 / $84 / $95, doesn't seem really fair for everyone outside of the US.

Probably because EU/UK price contains sales tax whereas in the US it is added at the till.

So at 1.5 exchange rate the the uk price would be £40 based on US then add 20% takes it to £48, so £1.99 out.

It would be nicer if they could actually you know go back to the way it used to be £40.

Yeah, I want to give the game a shot but the DLC situation is confusing. I'll most likely pick up the base game and be done with it.
