Students have been blocking any form of progress for well over a decade, and so it keeps getting worse. If this doesn't pass, then in five years, ten years, the measures taken will have to be even more drastic.
Not to say that the OVERWHELMING majority of students participating in illegal blocuses are doing so for fun, they don't really care. For the lycéens (high school), striking is illegal and like with the étudiants (uni), blocking (illegal for everyone) is stopping other students from accomplishing their studies.
And then they wonder why they aren't getting any jobs? There's a reason "les facs" (apart from medicine and law) have such a horrible reputation among HR in France.. There are no problems at the Grandes Écoles, at least when you're enrolled in a Grande École, you get your studies done, and then you get a job.

Here's the problem: government costs are greater than government revenues. It doesn't look like the costs are going to drop without intervention, nor does it look like the revenues will increase enough without intervention.fortified_concept said:You call that shit progress now? Well, I, for one, am glad the students are blocking all this "progress". And you don't have to repeat the same bullshit fearmongering the rightwingers use every time they want to screw the workers. Yeah, we get it, France is doomed, dead, buried if Sarkozy doesn't put nearly senile grandpas to work.

It's easy to say 'no'. It's harder to present an alternative. What's your solution?
Fucking morons. Even anarchists have some standards when they destroy property. What the fuck was their reason to destroy some poor guy's Renault? Fuckheads.Funky Papa said:Hello, shitheads.

MagniHarvald said:These, fortified_concept, are what we call racailles. They don't need a reason to fuck shit up, they do it for fun. They never do it by themselves, and they never do it to some-one/thing that can defend his/her/it-self, because racailles, by definition, have no balls.
fortified_concept said:They're fuckheads, we agree on that. At least our anarchists have specific targets. Hell, they burned down by mistake a "mom and pop" shop a couple of years ago because it was near a bank and they raised money to restore it. These pathetic shits on the other hand are obviously doing it for fun and they hurt the movement. They can go fuck themselves.
MagniHarvald said:Did they raise money to restore the bank? :lol
Hortefeux was talking about not letting these guys go unpunished a few pages back.
Jason's Ultimatum said:I had it all wrong. There are hot looking women in France.
fortified_concept said:And in the end if they want to cut they should cut the enormous defense budget and raise the taxes for the rich not screw the middle class.
fortified_concept said:They're so fucking stupid that they don't even realize they're sabotaging themselves.
fortified_concept said:The english articles probably fucked up then because in the context of their translation it was implied that he was talking about people in the blockades. I despise these punks even more than the average guy does because they give protests a bad reputation. They're so fucking stupid that they don't even realize they're sabotaging themselves.
Alx said:I'm all for taxes as a balanced way to contribute to society depending on your wealth... but why should the rich pay specifically for the aging population ?
All workers live longer, so it seems fair and logical to apply new working rules to everybody, not only those who can give more money.
Alx said:So you just want to "make them pay", whatever the reason. Sounds more like retaliation than looking for a solution to a given problem.

This means French deputies have unanimously refused to align their retirement plan to the general retirement plan.
This applies to deputies and government officials: they have their own specific retirement plan and they unanimously voted to reject an amendment that would make them fall under the same plan that applies to the rest of the French people.

they voted for a Right Wing government, they should not act surprised that Right Wing cuts in social programs happen
democracy... if they did not want Social Program cuts, then they should have vote for Ségolène Royal when they had the chance
they only have themselves to blame
they only have themselves to blame, they voted for Sarkozy, they voted for the Right Wing party
dealwithit.gif
if they don't like right wing polices then they shouldn't have voted for Sarko in the first place
Please this is a stupid argument.gutter_trash said:not really, the people just have to vote correctly during Presidential elections and legislative elections
