Managed to kill all the counselors last night in a match.
It helped that I just happened to teleport next to three of them early in the match.

My personal tip for Jason is at the start of the game go right for the power boxes and take them out. It'll kick up everybodies fear level a bit and, I believe, means they can't use the phone or call Tommy right away. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. This will cause some players to shift their priority to the cars or boat and make them a little more predictable. Plus by the time they attempt repairing things you'll have one or two other abilities unlocked.

The power has nothing to do with the phone or radio, I never seen anyone repair power but always use those.
Play to your characters strengths. Don't pick Vanessa and try to play her like she's AJ.
As Jason trap the objectives first before hunting them down. You'll hear audio cues of them stepping in bear traps or starting cars.
That kind of thing is super rewarding. I had a guy abuse one of the glitches when I was playing as Jason (he was flying above the cabin). However, the next game he got Jason and every single person escaped. We mocked him so badly for being terrible at the game that he left the lobby in shame. Good times.
On another note...
Is there a NeoGAF group somewhere? I have heard people talk about "discord", but I really don't know what that is (I'm willing to learn if discord is necessary). Anyway, I want in. Deal me in, guys! My Playstation account name is Spman2099...
This may be true but to some people, real life may have distracted them away from the game. For instance I was diagnosed with colon cancer, had surgery, chemo, tons of doctors appointments, had another surgery...etc. I didn't really see the Savini thing until the day after it expired. No I'm not mad, just a bit jealous. I'm all for giving backers exclusive stuff in some form, they can make it with a white hockey mask and the backers still have an exclusive, but being locked out kind of sucks. Like I said not even mad, I guess don't get cancer next time lol.

If stealthy is your strong suit play AJ Deborah or Tiffany. Sprinters like Vanessa and Bugsy are good for distractions (running around the map, picking stuff up and dropping em off for the nerdy characters to fix up cars and boats) Adam does a lot of damage. Stack Adams perks with attack stun perks and watch Jason fall everytime you hit him.

Thankfully PC seems to be fine with both patches. Finding games quickly. Still crashes from time to time but hey at least I can actually play the game.

It is. Contact them and tell them your issue. They usually give at least one per user, at least that is what they told me.

I had no idea about the Savini skin until the day after it expired, so Google wouldn't have helped. My point was that there are other things that may take priority from people constantly looking for updates on a particular game. Like I said I'm not asking for the skin, but there are other ways of going about it then just saying "you fucked up sorry."

Speaking of which, quickplay was working OK for me earlier. Played 3 games, all took just under 2 minutes to connect. UK, PS4.

Private matches guys. Your recent played with list should be getting people searching even if you didn't get in a game. Spam invites to them for a private match. It's worked flawlessly for me and I've added maybe 20 or so people since doing it that way that are always around to play. If you're on Xbox I host a lot as well.
Day one problems are one thing, even though it's bullshit to accept that nowadays. But what week until we are allowed to get annoyed with this??? I hope it'll be stable by next Friday.
Edit: heard that's is still crashing too lol.
Damn this game is tough. Played a couple of games so far and getting wrecked, while accomplishing nothing. Having a hard time with keyboard and mouse, seems like controller might be good with this game.
I thought the game had a tutorial, is it just those slide explaining different perks and actions? I feel like such dead weight learning while I play.

I have been pondering a controller as well. It would feel more streamlined I guess. Mouse always ends up making things harder to focus.

I was in a group where three people decided they were going to TK every round. There needs to be harsher penalties for these assholes.
Yup. This is what I do. First I check the look for group hub and see if anyone has an avatar and # needed that seems appealing. While I confirm that, I see if anyone recent is in the menus. If they are and I remember them being a good dude to play with, I hop right into their game. Haven't been kicked out yet and the other players like playing with someone who they know who won't troll them.
Also, when Jason is grabbing someone, are they immune to attacks? Someone was being held up yesterday and I was Tommy to save the day. I shoot Jason but it hits the counselor instead and it says I betrayed them. The counselor didn't notice/care but I apologized anyways afterwards.

I'm running the PS4 version and it is a lot of fun, but it is also a complete mess. As an example, it has taken me over twenty minutes to get a match today. Moreover, I had a game end where I got stuck to another player and we had to just wait for Jason to come and kill us. So yeah, lots of problems.
Still, it IS a lot of fun.

Crouch walking and being quiet is a must imo.

Once Jason has found you, things are going to be rough. You can play the "in the window, out the window" game. You can maybe create enough confusion to get to a safe space: crouching in the wilderness, or in another cabin (where you may need to rinse and repeat). Trapping him in a bear trap will help, as do firecrackers. However, once he is on you, you are FAR from guaranteed to survive. The best idea is to try to take as much of his time as possible. It will help fellow counselors, give you more chances to maybe make an escape, and could even buy you enough time that a more tempting kill takes Jason's focus away from you (many people in a car need more attention than some lone dude cabin hopping).
If he finds you right off the start try running away since he won't have shift yet and you should be able to get some good ground. Once you get space and don't hear music hide or crouch walk to lose his tracking on you. Even if you die first, remember you get to respawn as Tommy if your team is even half way decent so it's not the end of the world of you go first.
Pocket knives are amazing and basically get out of jail free cards if he grabs you. If he has you trapped in a house, don't jump out immediately, make him walk into the house at the other end with the locked door, then hop out. This way he either has to chop down the second locked door or turn around and head out the way he came in and should buy you some extra time.
Also if he's close to you, he can hear you. This means if you mention any plans he's going to know what you're up to. However, you can use this to your advantage by giving him false info. I like saying something like "guys I got Jason on me so you have time to get over to the car". I'll even add in "If he grabs me I have a pocket knife", even if I don't.
