I remember them releasing a "Making of" video for PaS on April 1st the year Halo was shown at E3, where various staff were saying how this was the true major hit Bungie was working on and how Halo couldn't hold a candle to it.

At E3, I asked a few employees manning the Halo demo stations jokingly where Pimps at Sea was and they all had a good chuckle. One higher up from the company mentioned that more than one european magazine approached him that E3 asking for a review copy of PaS. He tried to explain how it was an April Fools joke, but they didn't seem to get that. They were quite serious.
