Hey, sorry to be a party pooper, but that game was started before I officially announced the tournament, meaning before everyone knew that tournament matches will be up.

Its making a difference regarding how we approach games, if they are "more" important, maybe not for everyone, but for example for me, which is why I wrote in the tourney post that

"If you accidentally already have an ongoing match with someone from your group, this one doesnt count towards the tournament. Only matches who were made after I posted this post do count."

I hope you dont mind making a new match for that, as I dont want to count this one :) I dont think this is quite fair to start a match where you dont know yet that this is going to be a tournament match.

Huh, I can't imagine Inertia starting match before you posted that. He'll have to comment on that though, because I only started playing against him yesterday. And that was because of the start of the match. Afaik.

I think I started a game against you because you said earlier in this thread that you wanted to play some games, then we happened to be put in the same group a few hours after that. If you thought it was a tournament game we can count it as that, no issues from me.

Heh, thanks for uploading. It really corrupted my moral when I lost my only machine gunner so early in the game. Didn't think my grenadier (of all soldiers) would somehow make the turnaround possible. I got really lucky with that one shot that got two of your guys. :p
Anyway, I see you challenged me for the re-match. I'll respond with my turn in a few hours I think.

Yeah, the explosive radius on the grenades is fierce...
It's funny too, because when you see the what the game gave us for our next round there shall be plenty more as far as I'm aware.

Yeah, I just took a peak. I prefer the asymmetrical setups, but I don't think I'm a big fan of my starting position here. :p

Yeah, I just like that it basically skips the first one or two rather boring rounds of each symmetrical match where you just have to get your guys into position.

My barely missed grenade doomed me. I would have been in a good position if it wasn't for that :(

Boo, this 2nd match sucks for me. I'm stuck in a room having to come out to guys sitting in cover and 1 of my guys dies no matter what when the bullet doesn't even hit him, it hits the wall a not even next to him. Oh well.

Random positions isn't the issue. It's the you're fucked first turn ability of some of the maps and spawns. Why place one of my units that can't take out three people near three of the enemy? It's crazy.

Yeah of course, thats the risk. I like tryíng to get out of sticky situations, so eh. I dont need to set up my game perfectly ;) But of course, I can see how this is more representative in terms of skill. Its just more fun to me.

Just played my first turn.
I also sent challenges the other players in the group but I have the same problem as you as far as darksagus goes.

There was some crazy stealthiness in this match... Three times I had the grenader in sights with mg man, but he didn't have enough time to get off a shot. In the final turn, I really needed to push my guy around the corner a bit more, but I was thinking that Welford wasn't that far up already from the previous turn and that I would be able to get him running across out the doorway north. Definitely my mistake there.
