Controversial opinion:
I want Max to get the Judy Winslow treatment.

Not really, but he doesn't do anything for me when he isn't cleaning things. But I'm just nitpicking, love the show.

I effing love this including the first episode (up to ep5 now).

Please Netflix give us a second season!

Macy Gray didn't even try to act, man.
Otherwise, I'm loving this.

But her

non-delivery had me crying on the floor laughing for some reason...

Yeah, Max is the only* kid I really dislike at the moment. It would help if he didn't scream all of his lines.

Jackson is surprisingly good.

*Ramona is weak, too.

Just finished my binge session yesterday. It's fairly enjoyable, definitely felt like your typical 90's sitcom so it hit the nail on the head for what it was going for.

Wasn't there a bunch of odd behind the scenes stuff too, like characters getting recast for the final season? Wonder if too many bridges were burned for a reunion to happen.

You're probably referring to Harriette being recast for the last season. As far as I can see online, it was not bad blood: it was more of JoMarie Payton wanting to do more as an actress and feeling burned out with the complete focus on the Urkel character. She's still willing to do a reunion and she still speaks highly of the cast as well as the actress who replaced her.

Here's a nice read of an interview she did: http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/family-matters-jo-marie-payton-16891/

Seven eps in, nothing was nearly as good as ep 3, but even the weaker eps are way better than the horrendous pilot. It's a shame a lot of people will stop watching there because a) it's a bloated mess of an ep and b) it's not indicative of what the show is really about (DJ, Steph & Gibbler focused).

I went from cringing (1st episode) to somewhat offended (episodes 2-4, where the amount of adult-only jokes was kind of surprising, since I planned to watch this show with my 10-year-old daughter - which I would never do now), to just bored with the whole thing (episode 5 and half of 6). And my wife didn't even make it through episode 1. She didn't even say anything, she just kind of got up and left the room.

Can't be bothered anymore. This show sucks. I don't even want to listen to it as background noise. To the people laughing out loud at this, I don't get you. There isn't much funny here. I watch the whole thing with a straight face, or worse, a Picard facepalm. Call me grumpy.

Anyone else think Steve is great, I have laughed out loud on some of his lines. His character is great and I hope they bring him back for season 2.

The show honestly doesn't get any better than Episode 3. I watched episode 4 & 5 -- I thought episode 5 centerpiece joke was cute but I was not prepared for
Stephanie to reveal she can't have any children.
The show went from being "Full House 2.0" to something that seems a bit out of place. I'll watch the rest of the first season but I have a bad feeling about season 2 if the IMDB link is to be believed (which I hope is not true).

I think you need some cheering up-- Gibbler Style.

So many choreographed dance numbers.

I love it.

It's charming how this show fully embraces how unrealistic the whole thing is.

I miss the 90's

That is because you are simply a badass, and all of those who enjoy it are nostalgic sissies.

Honestly, it is great, but if you didn't watch or like Full House, you probably won't be a huge fan of this. My wife was a huge Full House fan and I enjoyed it when I'd randomly see it, and for us, this is the perfect merging of a goofy 90s sitcom with a few modern upgrades. Finished the entire season and can't wait for season 2 and 3.

Show is so dumb that I actually enjoyed it. Steph the best part but the rest is pretty okay. Max grew on me and Romana and Jackson are okay. I never liked Kimmy going back to the original full house but she manageable because I find Fernando hilarious. Oh and Matt is better than Steve. Steve just creepy and werid as fuck.

So when the hell is Netflix going to put up the original series?

You think it would make sense to try and get the rights for that, no?

I watched almost all of it this past weekend by accident. Kinds sat down while it was on, and stayed till the end..

I like Kimmy. She's grown up, but she's still that weird kid and it's refreshing to see. I also like how it's very much a 90s show in its tone, the jokes, and just the setting.

Also, wasn't a huge fan of Full House, but that's probaby because I've seen too many of them.

I've been enjoying it alright. It's more entertaining than the first season of Full House. Max is pretty damn annoying with all his line yelling though.

And that's how I spent last weekend. Its really great that way.

Damn, I feel like this is one of Netflix's quickest renewals... not even a full week.

Must have done some big arse numbers

If Netflix is gonna renew something, they usually do it -really- early based on the viewing numbers they get. Remember, unlike Nielsen, they see absolutely everything. They did similar stuff with Daredevil and whatnot.

And for their established properties, they'll just straight up renew them for multiple seasons to get everyone on lock (OITNB, House of Cards).

I was watching the first episode with my sister and then my mom comes in and goes: "oh look, that's the guy from that show we used to watch". Both my sister and I went: "mom, this the SAME show the rebooted". She went CRAZY. LOL.

My wife has been watching it so by proxy I've been catching bits and pieces of it. You know what? I expected it to be awful but it's actually not too bad...
