Looks like the Free Albums may be over. Jessie J, Sweet Talker is the only one of the 100 free albums that doesn't say "Deal Ended" on my end.

Before, most of them said they had 20-35 days left.

It is still working fine for me. Just started downloading Dookie.

Yep, my Music Deals app says Unknown (instead of Free) and Deal Ended. However, one you go into the Xbox Music App it still says it is free.

Also, and FYI, you CAN NOT use Xbox Gift Cards to buy music on PC.

This is getting less attention than Guardians of the Galaxy being free on Google Play?

I spent $21.10 and have around 2,000 (320kbps) mp3s ready to download.

(also, this made me glad that I don't use any of the Metro Apps/Features regularly. What a horrible experience.)
i don't see guardians for free.

Anybody know a good way to retag the mp3s in these box sets back into their original albums? I Have tried before with the Led Zeppelin box set and it was a nightmare. The song names are often slightly different and the song numbers are never right.

getting a couple of errors from some of the songs. one says it just isn't available, and others say there are server issues, but will download once you tell it to download again.

sort of strange, but still worth it. lots of good albums.

Is there any way to "buy" these then not download?

you can probably cancel the download or change the setting to not automatically download after purchasing.

can't get it to work, it keeps signing me into the UK store despite me not living in the UK and using a US xbox live account.

It's really odd, all I wanted was the Led Zeppelin discography for $1.99 :(

I'm having trouble downloading half of two different albums. The smashing pumpkins one and the Elton John one.

No idea why. Only one other track wasn't working from the Mumford and sons album

Smashing pumpkins didn't fully download with me either.

Well, it was free.

i have that album anyway. just curious if it wasn't working for anyone else

I downloaded the Smashing Pumpkins album and it downloaded all the tracks for me. The only album that I had a problem with was the Natalie Cole one; there was one track that wouldn't download.

Hmmph. New Eminem album is on there for 99 cents. Didn't even know that was out.

I notice I can stream all the albums for free without download.... Is it always like that? If I hit get it free it downloads sure, but it seems like Spotify where I stream it all for free. That's not right is it?

I have 2400+ songs downloading and I paid $24.26. With my slow internet, it's going to take a while to download all 23+GBs.

And thank goodness for Google Play Music Cloud Storage. Hopefully the songs will get matched so they don't have to upload. If you don't use Google Play Music Cloud Storage, it's great. FREE cloud storage for 20,000 songs up to 300mb each. If your song is 'matched' to Google Play, you can download the 320kbps file for free.

I just realized how crazy that it... That's up to 6TB of free storage. Of course, nobody is going to come close to that.

Changed the region of my phone, which let me get the app but the Xbox Music is telling me to buy the albums, bummer. :p

Outside the US of course.

I think that is part of their promotion right now and it will work like that until dec 1 where you have to sign up for a trial to resume streaming like that. Then you start paying.

1 song will not be 300 mb, especially for an mp3.... I don't know why you'd think 20k songs would take up 6 tb in anyone's library. I have nearly 70k and it doesn't even exceed 700 gbs

Which is exactly why I said "Of course, nobody is going to come close to that."

The maximum file size Google will let you upload is 300mb. Google will let you store 20,000 files. That's an upper limit of 6TB. Fact.

Yeah, I had that issue for a bunch of albums but then it went away. I just ignored it as I just wanted to purchase it and have it show up in my account. Verified that it was available after purchase on my phone.

The complete Stax/Volt singles are part of the $1.99 box set deal. That's 244 songs or over 10 hours of sweet soul music.

Grateful Dead: Complete Studio Albums Collection.

It's $94.49 ($100.15 with tax) on Google Play, so I bought it for $2.11.

That is an incredible deal. Enjoy.

If you're not familiar with the music, I might recommend starting with American Beauty.

Messed up trying to download them all but I bought the Zeppelin and Lennon box sets (I probably have all the Lennon songs somewhere but figured it wouldn't hurt to be safe for $2). Zeppelin won't play in the cloud player however due to copyright reasons or something? Weird.

Same. Most would download on the second attempt, but a few (like the entire first half of Siamese Dream) just say not available.

Same. That one song is the only other one it just won't download.

Edit - Plus the first half of the Elton John album.

I only have Win8 on a laptop I bought as an emergency backup, so I'm not all that familiar with it. For some reason while I'm downloading, the Music app will just spontaneously crash/close, then reopen and have to sign back in again. Anyone know what's up with that?

Additionally, is there any way within the Music app to actually see the download progress beyond how many songs I have remaining to download? I have terrible bandwidth, so claiming all these albums is a bit of a pain because going through the motions to claim the next one will be bogged down by the download of the previous one eating all my bandwidth.
