Armored cars like that are deployed to stop vehicles from ploughing into roadblocks, crowds and entrances. Not a remote threat considering recent events in Germany, France and UK.

For it to be real, Hamburg would require to call out State of Emegency. That hasn't happened yet.
I don't think the picture is real, but in case they are... These tanks are not from the police. Anything that is from the German Polizei, has a very strict color scheme and the words "POLIZEI" or "BUNDESPOLIZEI" have to be clearly visible. The police is not allowed to even operate an army tank, let alone rocking the army tint.
