Just got back from the Winter Classic hockey game, the Roots were there and they fucking killed it. My dad doesn't really like rap outside of some old school stuff and even he was like, "Yo, the Roots were pretty cool." I'm pissed that the Flyers lost, but it was a great game.

It's not a forum. It's the comment section on a fansite.

Sidebar: I'm not a big Main Attraktionz & co fan. I like a couple of their eps/releases but i wouldn't call myself a fan. They always have killer production but most of the time i cant be bothered with the actual people rapping.

That doesnt change my point? I gave up on Lupe awhile a go, it just seems childish to bring attention to idiots commenting. Comment sections always produce the biggest idiots, be it youtube or anything else.

I've been saying fuck rap and been on a Joni Mitchell kick today and I found out that she started incorporating the line "now why you wanna go and do that love huh?" at the end of her performances of big yellow taxi (the line q-tip rapped in janet jacksons got till its gone which sampled big yellow taxi). If I was Q-tip I'd be telling everyone that every chance I got. Greatest song writer in music history is quoting you on one of her most beloved songs? Can't get a better co-sign.

It's a shame about Lupe, his first 2 albums were pretty good, then he even had some decent tracks from his new album like I'm Beamin', All Black and Everything and 'Till I Get There, but most of the album was just garbage.

Not only that but his attitude got a whole lot hurr durr since then.

I'm still a fan of Lupe's lyrical ability and I think I'll give him one more album before I completely dismiss him.

Yeah, this is what the deal is for me too. I still dig him as a musician, for now, but this post-the cool persona he's taken on/revealed is some grade a lol-worthy shit. It's not to the point of affecting my views on his music as I listen, but it's definitely getting there.
