Nasir just shot himself in the foot.
I dont know how much the rest of you know about rap culture (Im an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. Its not like it is in Wall Street where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw your fanbase over in rap, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the hip hop public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase these cornball-ass punchline tracks, nor will they purchase any of Nasir's other songs. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Nasir has alienated an entire market with this move.
Nasir, publicly apologize and sign to a respectable label or you can kiss your business goodbye.
