No weekend?
Was that John Wall at the end in the red hoodie?
knowing the weeknd he probably asked for like 5 million dollars or something to appear in the video.

Dumbest shit I ever read. Jay electronica is a joke. Will always be a joke. Even after death.wow. tears in the rain.
would trade jay rock's entire career from the start to his end for just a listen of jay electronica's album.
Jay Rock - 90059
ayooo the song at the beginning wheww
the actual 90059 song...they kept that chorus god dammit.
Game at his worst is pretty much Jay Rock when he's on. Jay Rock couldn't even make an LAX if he tried.
Jay Rock is pretty squarely in a bag with rappity rappers who can be really on point with the verses at times (<1 time a year) but struggle perpetually to make good songs. Dude needs to do a collabo EP with Chamillionaire or something to get his name up.
Jay Rock is a boring ass artist that sounds amazing on features and great production where he doesn't have to come up with a concept himself or be forced to try and make the song himself ie structure the song or come up with an enticing hook. I always hoped this wasn't the case, but he's about as interesting and charismatic as Troy Ave. He'll never be the west coast version of Gibbs that everyone wants. Enzo wasn't even too off base about Follow Me Home, it's such a boring ass album and this new one doesn't seem to much more exciting judging by just how straightforward and vanilla all of the concepts are. Give Rashad the push he deserves and bench this old ass Charles Oakley equivalent.

when hyperbole goes too far
I just ain't feeling those tracks as much as y'all. Like their solid 7 joints but nothing that's really got me fiending to hear a new full length from the guy. I ain't even gonna front like I'm not check it out eventually, but that shit already slated be on the back burner even if nothing drops in its window.
Pretty much. Like, Rock's output isn't and never has been good enough to warrant I guess the favouritism he gets for shit that wouldn't have more than one person posting about it otherwise, let alone get excited about it. Which is fine, he's associated to a big name. But he also was when he dropped FMH. Also clearly the new music doesn't reflect the so called drastic change Rock supposedly was going through while sitting out.I just ain't feeling those tracks as much as y'all. What's wrong, it was amazing I think.Follow Me Home was absolutely boring.
If you're ceiling as an artist is a fucking 7 and you have an output that barely outpaces Jay Electronica don't expect me to ever be hyped on you. Also people calling for milder hyperbole don't understand the literary purpose of it. You wouldn't say something that's spicy is hot as a San Francisco afternoon.

Off topic (but technically on?) Codeine Crazy is still a top 3 Future song
in other news, DS2 in stores now
I'm just saying you can't pretend to be upset when somebody doesn't give whatever Soundcloud substar 14 album listens before moving on to the next one if you're shitting on an album in advance. That ain't having an open mind. The rules don't change because people have actually heard of Jay Rock. Maybe the record will suck, maybe it won't. But if you're already going into it with "this is going to be shit" in your mind, then of course you'll come back with half a dozen recycle bin .gifs.
Or maybe people have different opinions. Jay Rock is great.Jay Rock hype makes 0 sense.
Dealing in hype seems pretty worthless to me these days. It doesn't make the release any more special by trying to bring it into your library as some Savior album. Just let the music trickle and focus on what's out.
I feel you Des, when I do find something I like it's hard to even want to talk about it on gaf anymore. In terms of finding music I've ended up going to the source for a lot of things now too.
Will probably take a lengthy ban soon, there's just too much drama to wade through these days. Need some better way to keep up with y'all without talking the L of the day.
Waka Flocka Flame - Workin
That's the Flocka I love, loud and turnt af. If Flockaveli 2 has tracks like those, it's gonna be lit
