I'm reaching that "check out a Kweli project once every 5 years" landmark so this might be the one I listen to.
It's easy to forget Miguel came into the game doing features for undergroup rappers. He's on Blu & Exile's first album.
That new 50 isn't terrible.
Is this the last album he had to complete before finally breaking the shackles and getting off of Interscope? You know the label that has been holding him back?
It's really funny actually. His whole glo up was basically "grow a beard + sing about fucking now almost exclusively"
New 2 Chainz kinda hot, can't lie.
That's true, damn. Weird to think about now. It's easy to forget Miguel came into the game doing features for undergroup rappers. He's on Blu & Exile's first album.
Mos Def - Basquiat Ghostwriter. Mos Def continuing his L streak after calling people out and backing out.
All that's left is a song with Hopsin.I feel like Soulo is the Drake-esque popularity stimulus package for cornball underground rappers. For whatever that's worth.
he didn't, not even on that track from what i saw
real talk, what's the last good thing dude's done? i liked katrina clap and parts of true magic...oh and that mashup shit with marvin gaye last year kinda counts
Dude has completely lost himself. From interviews to music it's like a combination of holier than thou and simply coasting.Since when did he go back to Mos anyways? Always been a big fan, but he's constantly trying to exist beyond himself.
The Ecstatic Remix album, I guess? (REcstatic or whatever it was called)he didn't, not even on that track from what i saw

He transferred his focus to acting more and more throughout the 2000s. The REcstatc was pretty great tbh. Which was done with Preservation (1/2 of Yen Lo.) I'm looking forward to the new Black Star too.

I remember when that album came out and listening to it. I was with my family hiking the little mountains in Puerto Rico and shit, couldn't speak a lick of spanish either. Then mos hit me with that Spanish song. Good times, love that album.I was about to jump in and talk about how good The Ecstatic is... but I just checked and it's 6 years old. Fuck. Really doesn't seem that long ago
That L-Chapo avatar is something else.
I'mma need one or two of these: http://www.rappcats.com/shop/kmd-black-bastards/

Rising? We've already drowned.
Sounds good will checkFor any Jai Paul fans, Slime's new album, Company is out today on Spotify. His sound is similar to Jai's and does a good job of easing the pain of waiting for a single scrap of news about whatever Paul is working on.
