Gave a short spin of Finally Rich...

Any work from the Japanese dude the song is better than it is.
Any work from lil chop outside I dont like is just so fucking messy.

If it was just Keef and the Japanese dude then its a b ranked album.

but because chop did most of the album it so fucking dead. D-.

are you that japanese dude?

Most would say no, but I'd gotta say the Get Rich Or Die Tryin' Movie album shares a similar hunger as his original album.

"Nigga you'se a window shoppa"

EDIT: boo, new page.

Massacre gets some hate too and yea, it's a little bloated but its solid as hell too and excellent production. It'd be as strong as GROD too if he got rid of like 3-4 tracks from the playlist.

Hustler's ambition on the soundtrack. Holy shit when that beat drops

Also lol@ "Japanese dude" does he have a name?
I'm sure he is talking about YGOnDaBeat. He produced the track "Laughin' To The Bank".

I'd stake 5-6 removed, but I mostly agree.

Okay so I'm through LongLiveASAP and...

It's good but not good for the same reasons I liked LiveLove. There are no songs even like Palace or Wassup, there is no Brand New Guy part 2 from ASAP and Q, there is no Peso.

But at the time, that all sounded fresh, especially Palace and Wassup. There was no hip hop like that. Now, there is plenty of that.

Right now, the beats on this album, sound nothing like any other mainstream hip hop out. They sound straight out the underground and many of them sound amazing and fresh.

Somewhere in here, the album I want is there. Songs like Jodye and Ghetto Symphony (two of the best beats/songs on the album... both of them are bonus tracks... okay) are what I wanted. A huge evolution of his old style. What I got was different and some of it kind of sucks a lot. Fashion Killa sucks huge cock. No excuses really. I'd rather have 10 Jodyes than Wild For The Night (which I do really really like but it's not the same).

Overall,

LongLiveASAP
Goldie
PMW (Q KILLED THIS, Q IS MAN OF THE ALBUM IMO)
LVL
Wild For The Night
1 Train
Jodye
Ghetto Symphony

Are the songs I will take away from this album as songs of a 10/10 album and I mean that literally.

Songs like Phoenix, Suddenly, Angels are very good.

Hell, Pain, Fuckin Problems are all ok songs and I wish songs like Big Spender or Ridin could've ended up on the album for Rocky because he outshined his coartists on both songs and they would've fit perfectly. I will probably delete all of them from the album playlist.

Overall, I'm a little disappointed but my hype was high so I don't see how I couldn't be disappointed. There is no Wassup part 2 which sucks.

If the bonus tracks were on the album it would've been better. I also think Rocky's insistence on a less features (especially for a new rap album) and longer songs hurt him because while he is 100x better of a rapper than before he can't hold my attention with 3 verses on every song. I'm a stan because he's a good song maker but he is not the best rapper.

Also where the fuck are FLATBUSH ZOMBIES?! Should've gave them the shine... Bath Salts should've been on here without ASAP Ant... would've killed the game. And Freeze with Jim Jones. Both songs were wasted on a really huge piece of shit mixtape.

Can anyone make a version of Long Live ASAP that replaces all the choruses with the chorus of him and girl singing?

What hurt this album most was leaks. Goldie came out almost a year ago, PMW leaked, Fuckin Problems was a single, Jodye was played at concerts, LongLiveASAP came out a week (technically) a month early and those were some of the best songs. Ridin leaked and wasn't on the album, Bath Salts and Freeze were wasted... kind of a mess.

It's weird that in a recent interview Rocky basically said he wouldn't abandon the people that helped him make it this way mentioning Clams Casino by name, and then on the album we only get one fairly mediocre Clams beat and Silky Johnson didn't even make the cut.

Thuggin Noise, Purple Kisses, Bath Salts, and Freeze are the only good songs on the Mob Mixtape and were all wasted on it. All of them were better than Hell, Pain, Fuckin Problems, and Fashion Killa especially.

Freeze belonged on this album even if it was a year old.

there's two clams beat and there isn't a silky johnson on Live Love A$AP either, so I don't know who that is.

Edit: Produced Thuggin noise and that's it? Confused how that is weird, he only worked with him once and that's on the asap mob tape

The album makes me feel spoiled because Rocky already gave me a bunch of random songs this year that were better than this album.

I will say that this album is very well mixed, a rarity for rap.

I love Danny Brown. Dude is so humble and ridiculous. His entire persona is in every verse, he's so personable. You walk away feeling connected to him.

Hell shoulda died on a studio floor before Santigold was even involved.

LVL is one of my favorite tracks on the album but im not gonna pretend like it doesnt sound like some Lil B "I'm God" era Clams beat that he had and no one had jumped on.

this is why rappers (should) just ignore internet nerds when they make albums.

can't please em.

if he put them old tracks on there you'd be bitching about that instead.

Pretty much and when you try to get producers from your previous tape. They will bring up a producer you worked with once at a scheme to try to imply the artist changed his ways or something. Just stop, I can understand not fucking with the beats, but stop the reaching. You can never please these people

Yeah but something needs to be done about that weak ass middle of the album. It's an 8/10 album that's being hyped as the 2013 AOTY rap album of the year already.

I don't think the old songs should've been used on the album, I think they should've been saved. There was 0 reason to sit on Freeze for a year and then release it on a shitty mixtape.

Open iTunes and replace Pain, Hell, and Fashion Killa with Jodye, Ghetto Symphony, and Angels.

I don't even remember what you said about the album.

I love it. First three tracks are fire, LVL is pretty good, 5 and 6 are a little weak, then Fuckin Problems - Wild For the Night - 1Train is an epic 3 track sequence, followed by an awesomely chilled three song set to close the album.

I have mine as

LongLive
Jodye
LVL
Ghetto Symphony
PMW
Wild For The Night
1 Train

When the album drops I could see my tracklist looking like this:

Aren't you british? You should have better taste when it comes to electronic shit. C'mon son, you can't be calling Wild For The Night decent.

speaking of bonus tracks ,im sick of bonus tracks on pretty much every album now. cut out the filler and just release 10-12 songs that are amazing. & its a pain in the ass having a scavenger hunt trying to get all the tracks that are exclusive to certain places.

my LLA playlist:

Jodye
Ghetto Symphony
Goldie
PMW
Fucking Problems (i actually like this song)
Pretty Flacko
Angels
LVL
1 Train
Long Live A$AP

Fashion Killa grown on me a bit. Horrible chorus sounds like some female rapper should be on it but I think FZ did their thing on the beat. That sample sounds like them a lot. I have no problems with the verses.

i don't mind it. i'll take all the music they want throw out. it's not like i'm buying it more than once (if that) to get all the tracks.

i still wish Drake did that Take Care Birthday Edition he was talking about w/ a whole extra disc of tracks.

Whoever signed him needs to get fired. But knowing Interscope they'll promote him

Keef released a couple hot songs while on HOUSE ARREST. He had never performed outside of Chicago until getting a deal. He doesn't have a mixtape catalog. He didn't put in any radio work, which is important for new artists. Ever noticed how much love Cole, Kendrick, Krit get from DJs? It's because they did drops, shows, interviews, etc nonstop and earned a lot of rep with stations, even small stations. Keef didn't do any of that.

Keef getting signed is probably the peak of internet A&R bullshit. In the 90s and early 2000s labels weren't just giving out deals to anyone. They signed dudes after they had some hype, or an important cosign. Go listen to some Wu interviews and learn about Meth, Biggie, etc rapping and performing their ass off to build hype, then getting deals after pro A&Rs saw something special in them.

Man, I would have double dipped on Take Care if he gave me an extra disc with cd quality versions of tracks like "Club Paradise" "Free Spirit" and "Trust Issues." Gladly.

Y'all are weird. The chorus for Fashion Killa is fine, it's the verses that make me go :/

Also the Clams beats are on the album are great, WTF HRD. Though I guess a mediocre Clams beat is still a damn good beat huh.

Such bullshit. Tons of albums have filler and highs and lows in the wrong places. It's the same way editing can make or break a movie. 4th Chamber is an example of this going completely right. Rearrange those tracks and you have a worse album.

lol anybody surprised Keef is flopping are the same people who tried to act like I was crazy when I said he wouldn't be shit this time next year. Didn't some of you try to say he'd go gold first week or something? Delusional as shit.

Long Live Asap is way better than I expected. Still has his recognizable sound but leveled up. Phoenix is the only track so far I'm not feeling. Tracks 1 through 5 might be my favorite album start this year after GKMC. I can't stand santigold at all but the rest of Hell is great.

Nothing wrong with Wild for the night, Skrillex dialed his shit way the fuck down and it's actually a really interesting beat.

I actually think 1train is kind of boring but I appreciate tracks like this where you get a whole bunch of talent together.

Everything else is solid. Ghetto Sympathy is a little generic and Ferg sucks on it, but Diet Scarface does a solid job.

Oh and Fashion Killa is dope, fuck you.
