Mostly a PC Gamer, but Bloodborne has captured my imagination.
Kind of burned out on Batman games, so removed it.

Hm I feel like you shouldn't be able to win this award if you didn't show gameplay. Following that rule...

1. Splatoon. I was really impressed with this game. It has a gameplay concept I've never seen before and it reminded me that's what Nintendo is about.

2. Rainbow Six: Siege. Siege looked like a truly next gen experience. Hopefully it holds up but the gameplay looked amazing and I imagine the hardcore community will be all over this game.

3. No Man's Sky. I think this is shaping up to be the biggest disappointment ever because people are hyping it to high heaven BUT it does look great and I can't wait to play.

4. Destiny. This game has so much potential and I hope they don't royally mess up. But I can't wait to play Destiny its probably the IP I'm most excited about after...

5. The Division. I didn't want to rate this too high since it got the award last year and it had such an amazing showing. But if it hadn't this would easily be my number one. MMORPG? TPS? Post apocalyptic? When combined it looks like real fun.

6. Zelda Wii U. This might've been higher if I had seen more gameplay but it still really looks good. This game has potential and Zelda is always great.

7. Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain. When games go open world sometimes it feels like they do it just to do it. TPP looks like its actually going to expand on the MGS formula.

8. The Master Chief Collection. Never have I seen such a love letter to fans. So much value in one package.

9. Evolve. The gameplay of Evolve looks really cool. It feels new too it feels next gen. Asymmetrical gameplay is distinctly next gen and playing as a giant monster seems amazing.

10. Inside. This just looked really cool and other than No Man's Sky is the indie game I'm most likely to pick up.

Honorable mention: Sunset Overdrive. Thos game looks really cool but I really wanted to see multiplayer. Also AC unity has potential but I'll wait until I see something real.

Games I was disappointed in:

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X. This game looks so far up my alley its ridiculous. But then I see the gameplay and I cry myself to sleep at night.

2. The Order 1886. Wow so filmic. QTE. This game continues to look disappointing on the gameplay front.

3. Far Cry 4. This looked like a Far Cry 3 mod with better graphics and a story. I didn't see anything new in this gameplay. Will rent.

  1. First time my jaw has literally dropped. Looks amazing and huge.
  2. Really great concept. and such a new and unique take of the shooter. Moreso than anything else I saw.
  3. Looks fascinating, and love the fly anywhere ability. Very curious to see how the procedural creation works.
  4. This animation and art style is absolutely amazing!
  5. Looks like plenty of hours of solid JRPG fun (with mechs!).
  6. Have yet to play, but though it seems a bit too much like Halo it seems play-throughs are positive.
  7. Interesting concept - want to see more.
  8. Not a huge fighter fan but Nintendo is really gong all out on this one.
  9. Art style … wow.
  10. Not the most original but potentially one of the most fun if Miiverse and Minecraft popularity and creativity is any indication for user-generated content.

1. Zelda U - This seems like a fairly obvious choice
2. Destiny - Giantbomb saved this games ass. Bungie haven't been showing it off well at all.
3. Shadows of Mordor - This game looks awesome, and seems to fit in well in the LOTR lore.
4. Far Cry 4 - It looks to be more of the same, but why is that an issue.
5. Battlefront - The fact this game has made 5th on my list considering how little we saw of it says a lot about this E3.
6. Bloodborne - I wasn't a fan of Dark Souls, but this one has my attention. Hopefully they've refined the experience a bit.
7. No Mans Sky - Looks awesome but very skeptical about procedural generation.
8. Master Chief Collection - This would've been much higher had the PC version been confirmed.
9. Arkham Knight - Looks to be a pretty fun game. Will be picking this one up for sure.
10. Smash Bros - It looks great, but I probably won't be grabbing it.

Explanation:
1. Holy wow. This to me embodied what every exploration type game should be. I love the idea that the developers themselves have no idea what is out there and it's up to the players to explore the infinite universe.
2. I guess I'm just a sucker for Zelda. Open world is what I always wanted though.
3. This to me is what we all wanted when we heard the term "next-gen". Love that they've removed the conveniently placed haystacks of diving and replaced them with the ability to move down the buildings.
4. I watched a ton of X on the Nintendo Treehouse and it just looked really impressive.
5. I have no doubt in my mind that The Crew will let me down but I'm pretty hyped for it today.

Plenty of games that really impressed me, and some others that I'm interested in but just seem to have lacked much E3 presence. I find it difficult to really rank them so I've just listed my absolute favorites.

The absolute standout for me was Xenoblade X though. It's loked great since the first trailer and actually seeing it in action during the Treehouse stream was enough to convince me that it will be great. The visual design is just stunning, they've really done a fantastic job at building environments that have a real sense of scale to them. The creature design is incredibly fitting for the world as well. The combat also looks fairly solid and the premise sounds interesting. Yes the character faces are a little off, but that isn't nearly enough to stop Xenoblade from being the standout game of the show for me.

Kirby again has a fantastic art style to it, and as Canvas Curse was one of the best games on the DS, this should be a great title.

Valiant Hearts again has a great artstyle to it and I like the approach they are attempting to take at telling a unique World War 1 story. Plus the Ubi Art engine has yet to disappoint.

Fuck up of the show goes to the Type 0 Vita mess up. I'm not too pissed since I've been playing through the fan translation anyway, but it would still have been nice to have the game officially in English, and I have no plans to buy a next gen system yet.

I hate the fact so many games are slated for a 2015 release, but oh boy did Zelda look impressive. I really, really want to know more. It looks amazing and I want to explore this new Hyrule(?)

Bayonetta 2 looks like good old fashioned over the top action. It looks so buttery smooth and adding the original into the mix makes it one of the more exciting announcement this E3.

Do I really need to explain Smash? That game is hype as fuck.

Dragon Age: Inquisition: Dragon Age 2 was not a step in the right direction. Rushed, with repetitive areas and a lack of concrete presence for Kirkwall, it was far from Bioware's best effort.

Here's the attempt at a mea culpa on a grand scale. I'm looking forward to the leading the Inquisition aspects and it looks pretty darn great. A lot of folks have lost faith in Bioware over the years; I'm excited to see their try at winning them back.

Pillars of Eternity: It was technically there! Behind closed doors, but there nonetheless. Obsidian's shot at the RPG brass ring has me downright giddy with anticipation.

Tales from the Borderlands: I'm not a Borderlands aficionado, so I at first saw this one as a speedbump on the way to Game of Thrones. But the narrative hooks they've talked about seem intriguing and I want to see how the heck they incorporate the loot.

1. Splatoon - the first genuinely new and fresh shooter concept in a while. Just looks like a ton of fun.
2. Xenoblade Chronicles X - incredibly beautiful scale. It's Xenoblade taken even further and I can't wait for it.
3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - best trailer of the show. I love the Witcher series and this looks to be bigger and better.
4. No Man's Sky - incredible scale transitioning between planets, space, sea. I'm skeptical but excited.
5. Zelda Wii U - just a short tease, but I love the art style and what we saw was provocative enough to hold me over till next year.
6. Super Smash Bros Wii U/3DS - it's Smash Bros, it looks great and is really fun to watch. Guaranteed to be great.
7. Yoshi's Wooly World - incredible art style and looks to be one of the most charming games ever.
8. Batman: Arkham Knight - Looks to finally deliver on the open world Batman fantasy that City just didn't do for me.
9. Bayonetta 2 - pure fucking insanity, just how I like it.
10. Assassin's Creed Unity - it seems like they're really making some significant changes finally. Looked really beautiful and coop will probably be great.

Honorable Mentions:
x. Far Cry 4
x. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
x. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
x. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
x. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
x. Ori and the Blind Forest

I haven't yet seen everything as my Internet connection is very sketchy at the moment, but based on what I have watched/caught up on:

1. Bloodborne
- I'm a huge fan of the Souls series and while I'd gladly lap up more of the same, I think it's really exciting that Miyazaki and his team are trying different things and being progressive.
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
- again, a massive fan of the series and I'm excited to see where Druckmann and Straley will take it. Their storytelling was masterful in TLoU and I hope Uncharted can learn a few lessons from its more open approach to level design.
3. Zelda U
- it really looks like they're going for something different. Really hope this is the shot in the arm the series has, in my opinion, needed for some time now.
4. Infamous: First Light
- because Fetch is awesome.
5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- because Geralt's mighty beard is awesome
6. No Man's Sky
- this looks stunning for a small indie production
7. Driveclub
- I'm not usually a big fan of driving games, but this just looks so impressive
8. Ori and the Blind Forest
- gorgeous indie games are my thing

I'll have a read through and think of two more. I haven't seen many indie or smaller games yet that weren't in the main conferences.

The order could probably be mixed up, and there are one or two games I'd have liked to include but this is what I'm settling on for now. Rainbow Six: Siege was most interesting to me because I loved the close quarters, strategic emergent gameplay shown. Hopefully it comes out somewhere close to the demo. The rest are because they all looked great and I can't wait to play them.
