I've seen the Chuck episodes twice and I still feel I'm missing something. Why did the final sequence have 3 shadows?
two people, more than 1 light-source, each person has more than one silhouette, their shadows mix weird.

What the fuck is with the art style for Inner Brief?

it's so weird.

Terrible.

So Chuck
is a doll with a tiny demon living in his head?
I wonder if that will be significant in future episodes.

Holy fuck the number of obscure references in this episode (and probably every episode, now that I think about it) is ridiculous.

Let's come up a list of them all:

The Dr. Manhattan Chuck one was probably the funniest :lol

Just watched episode 1. This is actually pretty fun stuff. Not nearly as sexual fanservicey as more seriously drawn animes get. Guess the oddball art helps make this into a funny sex joke series instead of a servicey sex joke series.

Pretty good stuff to watch.

There is a little more T&A done in the traditional anime style in later episodes. Although it's kept very brief (no pun).

Final staff listings for Panty & Stocking:

Week 11:
Episode 23 - Hiromi Wakabayashi, Yoh Yoshinari
Episode 24 - Hiroshi Seko, Tadashi Hiramatsu, Shouko Nishigaki

Week 12:
Episode 25 - Hiroshi Seko, Hiroyuki Imaishi, Junichi Uematsu, Hirokazu Kojima
Episode 26 - Hiromi Wakabayashi, Atsushi Nishigori, Masahiko Otsuka

Week 13 (END):
Episode 27 - Hiromi Wakabayashi, Hiroyuki Imaishi, Sushio
Episode 28 - Hiromi Wakabayashi, Hiroyuki Imaishi, Sushio

So many reasons to get excited and yet...

I sure hope Wakabayashi is only doing the "plot" and Otsuka is writing the actual script.

Wakabayashi has never done the "plot" for any episode though, he always does the script.

Episode 4. He was credited for "plot" and Hiroshi Seko was credited for script.

Only 13 episodes and this show is over?
No season 2??

Nah, it isn't. The shadows are just duplicated behind Chuck.

Definitely not a threesome. It's just really really weird lighting. The two figures are projected on Chuck, who is closer to the shadow, and then they are projecting further to the wall behind Chuck. Notice how the woman's body (on the left of the image - her head, arm, and bouncing breast) don't match in proportion to the rest of the shadow that falls on Chuck (the ass and leg). Also, there were only two figures that came out of Chuck and Fastener.

Don't expect any sneak peaks at any episode from now on before airing. The last 3 weeks are totally being kept in blackout. The official site updated today with episode titles, but no screenshots at all. :lol

Ep24 = Once Upon A Time In Garterbelt
Ep25 = Nothing to Room

The summary for episode 24 kind of confirms my fears, Yoshinari's episode is some sort of GurePara type of deal: a short "music video" with a plot instead of a full episode. I'm sure it will be badass, like Yoshinari's GurePara effort, but I was hoping for a full episode.

I don't know about that. It could very well be a full length origin story. Like an expanded version of his GurePara, with dialogue. A standard episode is only about 10-11 minutes long, so I don't see why it can't be that long.

Edit: Speaking of Yoshinari... are you going to get this? :)

I'll certainly try my luck at Yahoo Auctions. The only animator doujinshi I currently own are Sushio's Kittan Zero thingy and Nishigori's Goripon Girl Extra and I would like to expand my collection.

What's Kou doing these days anyway? I haven't seen him mentioned in ages until this doujin popped up.

I remember reading on raito-kun's Twitter that he was working on a 4koma manga; let me look for the link.

The transition from last week's insanity to this week is a bit jarring, but the second half of this one has by far the best character-driven comedy yet. And manages to be as GIFable as the rest of the show despite its framing device :lol

Broadcast 11 was fucking fantastic; episode 24 had the type of slick, super-stylish animation you would expect from Yoshinari, but episode 25 was clearly the real stand-out: a pretty creative idea that really worked thanks to the wonderful cartoony yet naturalistic acting and animation. Panty and Stocking are silly cartoons, but they really managed to make them completely believable. Fucking A.

Every other episode of this show manages to evoke some kind of "that's the last thing I expected to see" feeling and for a multitude of different reasons at that.

Anyway, wrt the first half: Who is B? And what was that emblem that kept showing up; have we seen that before?

Pretty solid set of episodes this week. In terms of quality across the entire set of segments, this is probably the best week since Transformers/Cosplay. Loved the animation throughout, and the single cut episode was pretty solid in presentation. Yoshinari's action sequences are <3 <3 too.

Hopefully there are no more duds left, because we only have 4 segments left in the series. If any of them suck, it'll be a real waste.

Has it been confirmed if there will be another season or not after this?

I'm not sure what to make of episode 11, I think I prefer this show when the characters are actually doing something. The garterbelt segment was alright but led to a lame obvious joke and the second half where it's just Panty and Stocking sitting in front of the tv , ehhhhh, I see what they were going for but I couldn't help but think it was just an example of what happens when they have no budget for 1 segment. I did enjoy the "f*ck this guy, f*ck that guy" joke though.

I enjoyed the bottle episode on the second half. It was nice to see Panty and Stocking talking without being at each others's throat. And Panty's plan to get back to heaven was great. :lol Brief also coming in and being ignored for the most part was great too.
