GAMEPUMP - Service cancelled, everyone refunded + 2 bonus apology games

I love the concept of this, but I'm just not one to gamble with my money. I'd rather spend $5 on a game that I know I want then spend $20 to get 13 games I won't want or don't even know.

I'll be following this out of curiosity, but man I just can't do it. Good luck to you all, I hope they bring out some really great games! Hopefully they offer the ports for sale individually down the road too.

The premise is that the games will be on sale immediately. That's the whole business model. The subscriptions provide some income to defray the cost of porting a bit, and then the full price sales hopefully justify the port and make it profitable.

I'm trying to buy it now, but not even having a vague hint of who's signed with this is holding me back. Having a small list of logos with companies/indie studios who are on board would go a long way towards indicating the quality.

That's fantastic news!!! I have no problem paying more for something I know I want, but I hate paying money for mystery things. Go figure, LOL!

Man, I can think of TONS of older lost games which would be great to get versions playable on modern machines.

Damn... I'm order 68X, that's not a lot of orders, do they even have money to fund these games.

Well I assume they are hoping for the majority of their income to come from actually selling the games on steam moreso then the bundles. At least at first.

Maybe the GAMEPUMP crew saw that the consensus wanted the Wiiware version of LIT instead of the iOS one yet the GAMEPUMP game was the iOS one so they just went all "ABORT ABORT".

I mean, I trust Robert Bowling and am 100% sure it's not shady or anything. He very recently had another child so not sure if that's a factor in the lack of updates. I would have expected a little more Twitter activity and build to their very first release though if today is the day.

The day isn't over yet, but I think most people would have appreciated some clarification on the exact time by now.

Okay, so, we've been scammed, huh.

Yes, that's precisely it, a guy very publicly scammed everyone out of very little money using his own name--an ingenious scam--and the evidence we have of this is that something was supposed to be delivered on Friday and it's Friday and it hasn't been delivered--clearly a slam dunk.

he's practically a Chris Roberts acolyte

You guy's have No Man's Skyed yourselves. Your getting poop MSX ports that are vastly inferior to NES and will likely be poop PC ports locked at, like, ps4 fps

I also have a sub and am sure to get bum pumped too

Should I call the police? I mean, obviously I should call the police.

I have called the police.

It's just 1:45 PM on the west coast. Some of you need to relax.

Yeah, I'm not freaking out, it seems he's a PST guy and it's not even after regular working hours there yet.

With that said it would be unwise for this to be the standard time for releases. Make it midday on the East Coast.

Well seeing as how this is the first launch of the service, they may be dealing with some technical issues too.

I guess I should have read all of these posts before joining in, eh?

I think I have seen LIT quite some time ago, looks pretty solid. Well I might join the $20 subscription in February.

The $20 subscription deal might run out once they reveal the game, though.

I totally forgot about this. I just subscribed for a year so I hope I got in in time for the first game.
The receipt from PayPal is from "Super Villain Incorporated" lol
