I really don't see why they would remove "A Hideo Kojima Game" or Kojima Pro logos when the game is made by them still and was made under that studio too, it all seems too fishy to me, Kojima said V was his last and people laugh it off because he always says that, now this?
I don't care how official it looks or is, I smell bullshit.
And even if it is true, why remove the names and logos, is Fox engine being renamed too?
Seems a bit extreme way of doing it other then to get attention.

If this IS a troll than kojima's deserves mad props.
Let's face it: Konami won't suddenly kill the franchise. They will give it to a western studio that absolutly doesn't get the essence of the franchise and makes a generic military shooter out of it.
But man, as sad as it is that it's over, I think it's only fair to let Kojima do what he wants now. It's clear he's sick of working on this franchise and wants to try something new.
Let's hope MGSV is his swansong and his series goes out with a bang.

With that said, Konami makes a lot more money with Pachinko/Slots and Health. I was in Vegas last weekend, and I was shocked at how many Konami slots there were in the Caesars and MGM hotels.

This sucks for everyone. Even if to was the last MGS game I'd hoped they'd pull out all the stops and go out with a bang. Now the end of the series will be tainted by this conflict. You won't be able to not think about it when playing the game.

This is great. Kojima-san doesn't have to make Metal Gear any more.
The guy obviously has a ton of ideas that don't really work within the story and gameplay confines of Metal Gear. PT proved that, and it was the most interesting thing the guy has done in a long damn time.
I'm sorry to Metal Gear fans, but then again you guys have monopolized the output of a lot of very talented people for almost 20 years now!

What's stopping him from making MGSV the buggiest game of all time (Battlefield 4-esque) so it gets poor reviews and Konami eats it?? That probably won't happen since he feels like this title is part of his legacy...

Why I think it's a troll: the way they erased kojimas name is incredibly similar to how skull face erases XOF.
Why I don't think its a troll: this affects too many people. A fake game studio making a game, fine whatever, that doesn't hurt anyone. But insinuating power and struggles and job losses at a major companies affects more than just Kojima.

Yeah, this isn't happening. According to the source he even imparted that he wanted the team to keep doing well for the fans. Kojima loves the people who love his games. He spends hours every week just retweeting cool metal gear fan stuff.
