1 million subs. he is too big of an influencer to skip those. He is in a position of responsibility.
Studios and future games like that will suffer if more reviewers have bad taste.
His personal taste is one thing. but even if he disliked those, HE SHOULD mention those. He says himself it's his and his team professional work.

Thing is some people just are not in to that anime/weeb type stuff, myself included. I mean Stellar Blade could be the best reviewed game of all time and i still would never play it.

Also Wukong. I know a lot of people on here love it but i thought it was just decent. For me From do these games much better, outside of graphics.

Stellar Blade and Black Myth showed up as positive entries in Act Man’s list, who btw is trending to surpass Skill Up’s views. Just thought it worth mentioning.



Also the success of a game doesn’t hinge on a popular YT’s opinion, come on man. Skill Up glazed Veilguard in his preview, but that didn’t help the game’s sales.

It doesn't deserve any mention in any goty (lol) discussions.

He has a responsibility to pick HIS favourite games from this year. You seem to think these games are owed a spot on someone's personal GOTY list because they were popular or because someone else picked them. There are plenty of other popular Youtubers who didn't include Black Myth on their GOTY lists. It's not a universally liked game. Stellar Blade even less so.

Why is the games industry in trouble if Souls-like rip-off #164 with a Chinese mythology twist isn't on GOTY lists? It doesn't move a genre forward, and it doesn't innovate in any way. It's not Baldur's Gate 3 or Elden Ring.

I am ok thanks. It’s just really annoying that people completely miss out the point of this thread with answers “lol who cares your fav games are not there”. I’ve explained this 10 times, this it’s not the thread.

I don't like Wukong. It's boring, it's the invisible wall capital. Many of the moves you can acquire become completely pointless if you just spec into light attack damage and final hit damage. I basically played the game doing the same combo over and over and beat most bosses. The game is pretty but it needs better optimization. enemies prior to the bosses are trivial fodder that give no real sense of danger. The level and quest design is confusing for no damn reason. Weapon progression...just stop.

So yea, I'm good leaving this one off the list

They confessed they don’t have experience enough to optimize the game. I would expect a developer who sells 30 million of copies wouldn’t have problems to hire experts to fix it after those months. But why would they hire experts if people accept those unoptimized games? This is the reason From never fixed their engine, they don’t need

I played Stellar Blade, currently playing Stellar Blade and it's easily one of the best games of 2024.
