That would make the most sense. That way you don't split the MP user base as well.
They could also only start with Gears 1
And then every 4 months they add another gears game + MP maps as DLC until Gears 4 releases
Probably for Win10 launch.

Honestly id prefer Gears 1 remastered with improvement from 3 and the MP suite to be a combination of the best bits of all of them.
If it´s 30 fps then they have completely remade it.
The original assets should be no problem for 1080/60.

sounds like more then just maps, you can tag and have all the characters from 3's MP too.
If it's an awesome blend of gears 1 and 3 mp it will be interesting for sure, really need it explained to us at E3

That would be perfect. Imagine gears 1 with all the refinements from gears 3? That would be almost a perfect action game.
I'm not following. What PC release of Gears 3? There was exclusive content in the PC release of Gears 1. Is this that?

Yeah, it sounds like the GoW1 PC content will be included in the remaster.
Hope the date is legit, that would be a great spot to release and it'd be a solid birthday gift!
It's Gears of War 1 with the PC chapter. The multiplayer will have basic features - like enemy tagging - and game modes from Gears of War 3.

nope they have said they had thought of porting the other games to PC -the mp and cheevo count confirmed it

I think this description is for GeoW1 remaster actually which looks to be a GeoW1 PC version with some additions from GeoW3 360.

Hopefully it's $30-$40 and not full price. I can see them adding the other gears campaign as DLC aswell, I believe 343 said in hindsight they probably should have released them separately rather than all at once in regards to MCC, maybe MS is going that route for Gears collection?

I'm down for a proper remaster of the first Gears game (at a sensible price), would like them to add Horde mode at some point as free DLC though, that's like the best thing about Gears outside of the MP...

Nah, the mistake that Microsoft & 343i have made for Halo: MCC was hiring too many studios to do the ports.
Sony's having an Uncharted collection coming out, & all 3 UC games are being ported by 1 studio who's very well known for getting the job done properly.

Honestly I just wish they would have remastered Gears 3, instead of just going through all the crap to make Gears 1 playable. Gears 1 as multiplayer is clunky and not particularly fun, compared to what we have now. Still getting it though.
