Lmao, shots fired by Merkel and fired back again
I have to say that I like Schulz more than Merkel in this TV-Duell. Merkel is just to evasive.
Having them argue with each other is so much more amusing.
Everyone was talking. I didn't understand if Schulz said the Linke is a viable coalition partner for the SPD or not. Anyone got it?

Totally agree.I have to say that I like Schulz more than Merkel in this TV-Duell. Merkel is just to evasive.
Totally agree.
Also jesus what terrible moderators.
Not denying a coalition with Die Linke is going to mobilise conservative voters for sure.
i understood something about wanting SPD to be strong and if anyone wants to talk coalition they can come to them..
He said yes
He did not answer to it directly. He only stated that he wants to make the SPD as strong as possible.
Not denying a coalition with Die Linke is going to mobilise conservative voters for sure.
Yeah that killed the little chance he had left
Rather the opposite. A coalition with the Linke means to have a somehow a realistic chance for kicking out Merkel.
Why would he? I don't see SPD getting strong enough to come by with just The Greens as coalition partner anytime soon.
They're about the only chance they have.
He's not gonna get a majority with red red green. Center votes won't vote for you if you do a coalition with linke or afd

We need a term without a Groko. The SPD needs time in the opposition. I dont think that the SPD has a realistic chance but we need a big opposition and no Groko.Center voters wouldn't vote SPD anyway.
Not killing off a coalition with the Linke means an alternative to another 4 years of CDU/SPD.
SPD needs to end the race to the center. They lost that race against Merkel.
So just like in the US?
SPD needs to end the race to the center. They lost that race against the CDU.
Certain "Conservatives" being triggered just by the thought of a progressive left coalition is embarrassing, all the more when considering the LINKE is just the SPD from the 70s.
Which will doom them for the next 10 years. You won't get a majority without the center votes.
So now we are getting the Musterklage over night, and something will happen with the Turkey relations. The TV duel had something productive there.
So what is the difference to the actual situation now? Accepting the fate of being the junior partner of the CDU?
Man, these people have so much time on their hand and can't come up with an own mascot? All I see is AfD-blue pepes and chibis with AfD caps. Wow
I missed a no to another cdu-spd coalition from Schulz. I'm not voting SPD to support Merkel.
How about putting forward a credible challenge to Merkel?
Schulz agreed with Merkel on more topics than he disagreed tonight

What is a credible challenge if any move to the left only ends in doom?
The power vacuum Merkel will leave after her in a few years is going to be devastating for the Union, especially since all her potential successors are either extremely right from center compared to her or incompetent or both.
Yes. Lets hope the SPD has a good candidate then. The power vacuum Merkel will leave after her in a few years is going to be devastating for the Union, especially since all her potential successors are either extremely right from center compared to her or incompetent or both.
