[Surface of Me]

I bought a Space Case grinder, GAF. Titanium 4-piece. $80. I feel dumb blowing so much, but I decided to treat myself. The cheapie plastic number I had bought years ago was so awful that I just resigned to breaking it all up by hand.

Semi-related: Anybody have the Magic Flight Launch Box? I've never vaped, and I'm not gonna blow $500+ for a Volcano. Seems to be the best in that $120 or so price range based on reviews. Thoughts?

For your grinder woes, shot glass+scissors work really well if you no grinder available. Although, I would advise against using anything that wont store your keif.

I and many others on GAF have the MFLB, I personally love it. Vaping is certainly a different high that smoking is, more or a head high than anything. It still is very enjoyable and conserves weed. I've found myself smoking a bowl to get baked, and then extended the high with the MFLB while in bed. You can get it for $80ish with a little searching as well. I would definitely recommend it.

Yeah, this is a large part of why I wanted to finally upgrade. Seeing videos of people using those little presses to make solid pucks of keif had me pretty envious.

For the few times I smoke per week, I would agree. The MFLB is popular, but I think it's a very situational piece. Many of the people who buy it are likely college students, who it is perfect for (cheap and covert). I don't think the vapor quality is all that great compared to the Arizer Solo or Pax Ploom (which are both great but cost 2 or 3 times are much as the MFLB).

I wouldn't outright tell them before knowing their opinion on weed in general, unless you already know it or something. Maybe bring up the laws in CO or WA and see their reaction then.

My dad flipped out when he found out I smoke, like full on Red from that 70s Show mode. I covertly got back into it after losing all my stuff, which wasn't a lot at the time. My mom never has found out, but I don't think she would have near the reaction my dad did.

Tried it for the first time. I didn't get a real good hit, but it tasted like vaped weed to me.

My parents found out i smoke a few months ago. I came home one night and my parents asked me sit down as they wanted to talk, so i knew something was up. Turned out they found my stash, it sucked too because it was the day before my Grandma's funeral and i felt so fucking guilty for the next few weeks as i knew finding out i smoked just made things worse, although initially they didn't take it as bad as i thought they would. We ended up having a rather civilised discussion which kind of came as a shock, i thought my Dad would have at least gone ape shit on me. They were and still are against it but they know i'm responsible enough to take care of myself, i just make sure i never come home stoned anymore and always smoke elsewhere just out of respect.

On the other hand, does anyone find it super fun being totally blazed in front of your parents/relatives/people who you hide your smoking from, and them being totally oblivious?
It's like a buzz that you know you're high as hell but they are non the wiser, you suddenly feel on the same wave length and can just goof around with them.

I weep for people who have never vaped. For me, it's a TOTALLY different experience. It's clean, delicious, and much more "heady" as other people have mentioned. I routinely vape before working out or doing jiu jitsu. It doesn't leave you with a tight chest or burning sinuses. It's extremely subtle and the high slides right over you without you even noticing. It's a beautiful thing.

I still use my bong when I want to blast myself straight to the center of the universe. It's just a different style. Different strokes and all that.

So I'm normally quite anxious about things, and sometimes when just smoking weed I will start to worry almost immediately, which makes the high pretty shitty and panicky for the most part. Should I avoid ever doing the 2 mentioned above? They interest me somewhat, but is it possible to 'learn' how not to worry when I'm on them, and have a good time?

In my experience you usually reach a point where you realize that struggling or trying to control the experience is pointless and you just let go and then things get a lot better, and that's also an incredibly useful skill outside of tripping, too. It's always kind of a gamble though, that was just my experience and I can't really say how you will take to them. If you're curious you can do a low dose, like one gram of mushrooms tends to come with essentially just a noticable mood lift, colors are brighter and your vision is sharper, and everything cognitively feels really 'clear'. It isn't an overwhelming experience by any means but it isn't disappointing either imo if you set your expectations for that. Then you can slowly work your way up if you're still curious.

Damn so no positive stories? I don't know what to expect. I know my dad says drugs should be decriminalized so crime would go down. They know I'm in favor of it because I always side with weed when that topic comes up.

I honestly want to come clean so I cab relax and enjoy my shit. Would be perfect if I could do it at home and even better if they would join me lol but I doubt that.

Their big problem was with drinking. They didn't, and still don't, want me to drink a lot. Lest I end up an alcoholic like a lot of my family.

My mom found rolling papers and my 1 hitter in my jeans a couple years ago when I still lived at home. She just handed them to me and said "You should probably take these out of your pants before your mother does your laundry." That was really the end of it.

I know my dad has smoked as recently as a few years ago and I just had a conversation with him about legalization, which he supports. He even told me he suggested getting some for my mom while she was going through chemo. My parents are pretty cool sometimes.

My smoking with my parents is a moot point. They know I do, they've caught me one way or another so many times, they don't approve, but I'm 21 and there's nothing they can really do about it. The couple times they threw away my pipe and stash or something I just went and bought a new one the next day. They know this, and so they just let it be. Been an every day toker for about 2 years now, minus a couple one month breaks for one reason or another. I still live at home so I'm not totally independent. But aside from that, I pretty much am. Go to school full time, work nearly full time, pay for all my own shit, drive my own car, etc.
