Graphics do look great. But that's just not enough for me. I passed on the last AC game. I'll probably pass on this one for a while. I think this era and open world stuff just doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Combat still look like shit, and stealth look like automated shit (press triangle from an elevated platform and look at a cutscene, no timing required) like in the first game.

This, + no cities (we know, too hard eh ? Rise of the Ronin offered 3 cities though) + woman on a revenge (please...) is a hard pass for me.
Japanese towns are hard

Absolutely nothing shown here looks like a game made for current gen. This is as PS4 as it gets. How the fuck is Rift Apart, years old game, looks significantly better than this? It's as if Yotei was already made for the PS4 years ago, they shelved it as a panic button release for when it's needed, and then they just ported it to the PS5, calling it a current gen exclusive.

The very only thing that looked nice are the vistas, but that's mostly because of the aesthetic, not impressive visuals.

And that's crazy because GoT looks 90% identical, and that was made for dogshit Jag cpu's. Nobody at Sony bothers updating their engines, they release sequels to PS4 games that look the same as they did years ago.

6/10 presentation of the game.

I like what I saw. but then I also liked the first one. 2 things I didn't like. the 30 FPS mode sucks. I can't stand it. I don't care about lower graphics a bit to hit that 60 at least.

The character models are not really great. The environment is just state of the art., but the character model are PS4 level. at least push the details higher in cutscenes.

Music is something else too.

Wrong. Shadows sucks. When will people realize we don't consider ubisoft schlock real. It's a fake game bro. Screw shadows and I'll be honest anyone who played it lost just a little respect from me. Like, yuck. Sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know because I wouldn't eat the nasty motherfucker.
I'll respond because you sound like early Eminem on meth. My kind of guy.

Ghosts was incredibly uninspiring and by the numbers just like Shadows. This looks nto be more of the same while having best in class fauna that blows in the wind. Ill check it out on sale on a decent GPU.

Not a bleep about LEGENDS, I kinda hoped for at least a small tease but I'm sure its coming in a big way in 2926. Other than that it was great and exactly what I want from it just expanding gameplay at all fronts. Looks like stances are out replaced by weapon switching following similar rock paper scissors concept. Nice. Wolf companion obviously in combat but that bit in standoff? So fucking cool. Streamlining management via camp is a sick QOL idea..I already bought the game so needless to say I'm there binging it from the moment it drops

Considering the huge amount of Sony 1st party titles that were cross-gen, it is very likely that this also began as one, or at the very least the developers didn't have the time to develop an entirely new-next gen engine.

I absolutely agree; there were large segments of that footage that looked identical to the previous game, so clearly a lot of assets are being re-used.

My only issue is these safe sequels make me cringe. I'm not asking for ToTK physics system but Sony used to be good at sequels. Remember Uncharted 2?

My only worry here is like Horizon before it, the first game is a little stale now and it doesn't look like they have improved gigantically or really swapped it up. When you mix in the guaranteed worse protag it's like fuck. I don't really like Sony exclusives anymore. It's okay. There are plenty of great games to play on PS5 without games from Sony but I'm not gonna lie. Hopefully this ends up being a better game than we think. If this game pops an 88 or > I'll be the first in line, honestly. You will be sick of hearing my adoration but I'm gonna wait on reviews.

Day one from me too. I really like GOT and this seems an improved version. I also really liked horizon forbidden west which i thought was a big improvement on the first.

Also people asking for new animations on every sequel are insane. Why the fuck would they do that? Let's add another year and 100 million on the game. But games take too long and are too expensive. Hey how dare you have some of the same animations? Stop being bipolar (or hypocritical more accurately).

As expected, Ghost of Tshushima 1.5 with a couple more weapons and skills.

Graphically , looks the same as the first Ps4 game. What are these devs doing with the ps5 hardware? Nothing, its baffling.

The dual swords combat seems great.

But they kinda fucked up on the story side.... It's kinda similar to AC Shadows (Naoe quest for revenge) and, although it seems pretty, AC Shadows seems better graphics wise.

Also, since they didn't show the multiplayer mode, I guess it won't be available at launch which is a pity. I wonder if the AC Shadows multiplayer mode will be released before Yotei.

Anyway, I will pre order and I will probably enjoy it a lot. But for me AC Shadows stole a lot of its thunder. I expected more from a Sony first party title.

I see they took some notes from other open world games. The camp fire activities reminds of Red Dead Redemption 2, but I like that it brings NPCs to your location to meet and introduce new goods to purchase. It kind of breaks of the monotony of having to visit the same location over and over to buy things, and actually supports your curiosity to explore the map. I think this time for a first playthrough, Im going for the black and white Kurosawa mode with Japanese voice overs to get that cinematic feel and really immerse myself in the story of how it was inspired.

It looks amazing. And while Shadows also looked amazing, its the gameplay of this which looks good and FUN

Shadows was fucking boring and guilty of the worst side content I've ever seen including GTAs pigeons.

Sucker Punch was hiring for multiplayer expertise a while back, and Aniplex is producing the GOT Legends anime, so we have to wait and see.

I hate to admit it, but shadows environment looks better than this old gen look. Sony doesn't bring in the heat anymore. Demon souls still the best thing I played on ps5, along with wukong and DS2 right now.

GoT was/is an incredible game. This looks more of the same with some improvements. What will make/break the game will be the story and how well the main character is written. Jin Sakai conflicts with himself was what made him an interesting character. Presentation wise, a bit lacking. But hard to judge from a youtube video. Will definitely buy the game. Picking up the controller as well.

Also like how you can interrogate enemies you attack and they can give u info that helps you along your journey. Makes attacking enemies have a purpose.

It feels like the game was designed around 60 fps. 30 fps looks so choppy.

Overall, gameplay looks good. Will need to watch it a few times to understand the little details. Graphics look like a good step up from part 1, especially the environments, lighting and scale, but ground textures, character models and faces are still quite a step behind current gen tech.

Art is fantastic, music is superb. No surprises there. QoL stuff with the camp sounds great.

Will definitely be playing this in widescreen mode at 60 fps. Will use Mike mode if it doesn't compromise gameplay. I found the close up camera unusable in combat for The Witcher 3, so we shall see.

A bit underwhelming for the graphics whore in me. But it's hitting all other notes. Thought we would get to see more of the wolf, but I guess that's for another day.

I wonder if devs ever come into threads like this and just get really discouraged. I'm not sure what some of you want. It's a video game and a sequel at that.

That said ...

Visually I think it looks great. Not into the story or the gameplay after doing the first one though. So will either pass or wait to see what the reception is.

Since people can't complain that it's woke they've since shifted their argument to 'it looks like a ps4 game'. They'll do whatever it takes to try and shit on this game even if everything they say is complete and utter bullshit.

Zero graphical improvement from the first game (played it maxed on PC).
Still focus on busywork fetchquest filler.
Terrible voice acting (in english).

I might still play it because I did enjoy the first game, but if someone told me this was a large DLC for the first game, I would believe them. Hype not activated.
