Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Beta Thread of key begging

Great news :) so glad they are actually using this a beta and not a demo, im having a blast.

Biggest issue they need to fix is the lag and the array of bugs Future soldier has, the gameplay and the pace is spot on and the modes are quite alot of fun when played in a team.

Silencer on Rifleman Class needs to be punished more by reducing the range alot, this will make it a choice between having it silenced or not. as it stand you still get the best of both worlds with great range and also not showing up on the radar, i really dont want this to be like previous installments when its overrun by silenced weapons only.

Having two engineers on one team constantly lobbing 2 sensor grenades at spawns and objectives can bring a halt to the gameplay, the emp grenades counter it but more often than teams ignore it or run away when detected. needs to be looked into, especially if you have more than 2 engineers going, than your done.

Rifleman class is the most effective and im happy with the balance each class can give, surprisingly the scout class is balanced well and not as annoying as i thought it would be pre beta (still needs testing as i have yet to unlock some vital things)

the stealth attacks have problems registering at close radius and finding the sweet spot to get it activate can be frustrating, but this is probably due to the lag and it taking a long time to register.

just tipping more cents into the jar :) i hope they take this feedback into consideration.


The detection from the sensor grenade is VERY short though. It's almost not even worth using.
 
lose 5 games in a row cuz everyone is playing like team deathmach.. fuck this

What I did to avoid that was talk during my match and then after the match I backed out and invited everyone with mics and we formed a little party. Worked pretty well.

My experience with the imbalance occurs when the opposition has two engineers constantly lobbing them in vital spots, once they die they repeat the process and it completely disrupts the flow and great pace GR:FS has.

tried this technique last night with a friend and its amazing how well we kept on dominating.


i think allowing the engineer class to have only one sensor grenade may do the trick.

Sounds like the same issue with Riflemen lobbing grenades. Only their grenades kill.
 
totally agree with you on the grenades, fucking almost feel like deploying nukes lol

You still get killed by random grenades. I got a ton of kills just throwing where I thought players would be. I survived about 25% of grenades that would normally kill me though. It's a small tweak, really.

I killed one of my party members (one one of those split games) and he said my nade killed him through a wall LOL

lol just reminded me,

Was playing with a friend on pipeline i lobbed a grenade where the snipers usually sit, i lobbed it thinking it would be the perfect richoiet, it bounce off a small pole that was on top of me landed at my feet, friend happened to spawned off me....yep, good times lol :)
 
Any PS3 PSN codes lying around? I would love to try the game and I assure everyone that although I don't have a mid I can coordinate and follow a plan regardless

Kind of. If you push all the way up the right side and get on the right of the platform side stairwell you essentially cut one of those spawns into a 2 exit affair. The only way to get to the platform is to turn the corridor corner (which is being watched) or from the other side where you have to push through a camped corner, then backtrack to get up the back stairs.

You can sprint straight up the platform in the middle. They wouldn't really have time to get you if you just dash for it, especially if you're using smoke.

They'll see you going up though and their camp on both sides allows them easy access to the platform from two directions.

Also someone can be up on the platform waiting for you.

Also just because you can get to the platform doesn't mean there isn't someone on the OTHER platform just sniping it. You can see OVER the railing from the other side lol

That's not spawn camping though, that's map control.
 
The code I was given strangely didn't work anyone have a spare PS3 code...I got these cheeseburgers man! But in all seriousness I'd really appreciate one!

This is the only other exit out of the base which can be corner camped but the long corridor provides line of sight from the top of the ladder and the other spawn's entrance to that corridor.

Another view of P3. This is a really advanced set-up but the line of sight allows you to hold it from much, much further back. This side is almost a freebie.

You were saying something about 3 exits? Note that the south corridor is almost a freebie. The game has two random objectives that spawn where I drew the blue circles. The game is pretty much BEGGING you to spawn camp the other team lmao

Call it whatever you want but look where the boundary lines are in the screens. Spawn camping, map control, dominating another team, whatever.. it's still bullshit lol
 
So, in my last 10 or so games, I've been teamed up with competent players, have had relatively no lag and have been on the ball in terms of general TPS pWneRy; it was a blast. I'm definitely loving the type of game this is, even with the current balancing issues. I'm glad there's a month between the beta's end and release, as I'm guessing I'll be pretty burnt out come the 2nd.
 
Dude the starting sniper for scouts is good. No one ever said it was underpowered. I've been saying the scout class isn't competitive with the others because it doesn't really play a team role and definitely not one that a rifleman or engineer can't fill and do a better job at.

The fact that you think a high level gun is going to be uberpowerful just shows how stupid the unlock system is going to be anyway.

No I understand that teamplay stuff, we have been discussing it for pages.
my comment was about people saying why even snipe when an AR can out snipe you.

Edit: well now I am worried about maps, just watched an interview that said Mill is the largest map in the game.
hopefully there are some at least more open.
 
Tried to play a few games last night, and I only got maybe 3, before the server issues as always came into play and shit froze up, etc.

Saboteur is an alright game type, wish it wasn't so quick on respawn times though.

I hardly noticed a difference in frag grenades. Still lethal as fuck and have a big splash radius. Made Saboteur hard to play too when people just lob nades whenever you try to plant lol.

Exp boost is nice, but I still don't see myself hitting 50 3x in this beta time to see the other 3 classes. They should just unlock them so we can see what the dealy yo is.

2x is nice but it is still a slowwww grind. I don't even see myself hitting 50 once based on my current progress.

If any of the lvl 18+ gadgets make a significant impact (who are we kidding?), there is going to be a huge skill gap at retail between "hardcore" players and "casuals". The only low level unlock worth a shit is the drone pretty much.
 
Question, apologies if it has been answered, I went to download this via Splinter cell and It showed up in my active downloads, then disappeared and never downloaded. Have there been issues via Splinter Cell?

May just use one of my 3 guest keys... (Edit: tried this and I already own to content.) Hmm.

I dunno. The camera seemed good? Then again I don't think it functions like a SOFLAM (to put this in BF3 perspective) and is more a mini motion mine a la Bad Company 2.

Also playing against a good team is really disheartening. I got completely owned by them. Next round most of them quit and I was able to sneak around and take objectives and get 10-0 KDR. But that's after having to have numerous "HOST CONNECTION LOST" errors and the Mill map never fucking working.

Pipeline is a piece of shit, as per people saying, yeah. I haven't been spawned trapped there but I've seen that teams spawn and while there's an "underground" way of going under the bridge, you still have to go up the stairs to the bridge to exit into the map so it's not a viable outway.

At least they can tell everyone that they have unlocks and progression in the game. PR is much more important than balance or actual fun.
