Anime of a lot of VNs are mostly cut down and not as good.

Too true. I think I came off as a lot more dismissive than I should have. Apologies if it was too harsh.

VNs and I don't really agree, though. I get too impatient clicking through a never-ending stream of text boxes.

So far, I haven't been lucky enough to find one that keeps my interest to the end. I know that Steins;Gate gets a lot of love, but the time investment required seems like a red flag to me.
