THE BIRDS ARE PECKING AT MY FLESH
It's triggering me that they're not buying the stinger in the shop for this fight
and drew didn't pick up the ipod music
granted it got less egregious because he spent a lot of the fight inside in the second half but maaaaan
Wait, The Volta River? That's in Africa. THAT ISN'T EASTERN EUROPE.
Hey, man, the country of Eastern Europe can have a Volta River if it wants.Wait, The Volta River? That's in Africa. THAT ISN'T EASTERN EUROPE.
Kojima wasn't allowed to check the Internet to make sure.

There IS a Volga River, which is the longest river in europe. But that's a pretty huge oversight of that one letter discrpancy
There are no jungles in Russia either guys. Metal gear isn't non-fiction.
unless you aren't a sheeple, man
I don't think I ever used the Stinger for the Raven fight, actually. In a lethal run, I would just chip her down with the M4, then use the DSR when she's cooling down.
Edit: It's probably a lot quicker though. I'll try that next time.
That's one of the dumbest things in MGS3. Did Kojima just look at Russia on a map and figure it's so big there's got to be jungle somewhere?

Volgin imported that jungle with the Philosopher's Legacy.

Hey I saw that before you edited! You put in Volga imported the jungle! It was funnier...
Honestly I thought that read more like an article than a review. I just wanted to see what the game was like, not read through a load of Austin's thoughts on other stuff. I'm not saying there isn't a place for it, but I don't think a review is that place.
There's like a billion other reviews that just tell you what the game is though.
One of my most memorable scenes from mgs1 was Mantis giving his backstory while dying. I just wish the beauties gave their own back stories rather than some dude with a Wikipedia entry. The BnB out-of-suit scenes and subsequent Drebin info-dumps are the worst. THE WORST!

Wouldn't the bombcast already be recorded at this point?Desperately hoping that some good Destiny news breaks in time to spice up the Bombcast
Goddamn it, every week I'm off the mark with this stuff..Wouldn't the bombcast already be recorded at this point?

It's too early in the year for another everyone vs Brad Destiny discussion.
After 370 hours in Destiny, I feel qualified to yell at Brad during the podcast when he tries to make outlandish statements about Destiny. Especially when he tries the "y'all just ain't played enough for these here Destiny talkins" tact.
There's maybe 3-4 lines tops where Dinklage's Ghost could be considered anything above deadpan, let alone whimsical.

Time Clicker dev a Bombcast fan?
It doesn't have to be "this game rules" vs "this game sucks". We've had several great Destiny segments this year already due to DLC shenanigans, Red Bull promotions, Peter Dinklage getting John Connored, etc. YMMV, of course, but I always find the Bombcast discussions of everything Destiny-related interesting and fun for some reason. It's just the game that keeps on givingIt's too early in the year for another everyone vs Brad Destiny discussion.
So I went to see the new Mission Impossible film earlier and there's a real weird Halo 5 product placement bit in it...
The Simon Pegg character is playing a game at his desk briefly, shows some pretty generic footage of it, he sees a senior coming so shuts it off and chucks the box in his desk. It lingers on the box for a few seconds too, real weird.
Yeah there's a ton of Microsoft product placement in that movie.
I seem to remember every B&B fight being easy but also really tedious.Yeah, this raven fight is pretty terrible. These bnb fights are as whack as I remember them being.
Yep, all the tablets are Surface tablets as well I think. When it's that obvious that almost all the shit you use is from one company it really bothers me.
I love Austin's description on the Streamfriends site. :lol
When he isn't spouting off about historical materialism and critical posthumanism in a paper, he's here on Stream Friends, spouting off about historical materialism and critical posthumanism.
