where they put the cybernetics specialist in episode 9 is some pain in the ass stuff. and i didn't realize that you could just get the fool and leave the mission and not have to complete it again till i grew frustrated with the whole thing and looked that up.

but now i know. and now i can take more damage thanks to that duder.

But man was i super annoyed when a fulton of a container full of fuel resources failed to extract. how's a fucking venom snake supposed to expand his base with shit like this happening

and that's why you don't do endgame grinds on mmos. Today's endgame grind is tomorrow's useless junk

Nope, the couple of months where you have the best gear in the game are pretty great.

He called it a big patch so I doubt it's the unlock key.

yeah but the BS you often have to do to get there just makes the fact that it'll be obsolete in 6-12 months all the more infuriating.

I've never played loot games with some sort of ultra endgame gear in mind. I kinda just play them until I finish the regular endgame and just walk away.

but hey, i'm also an idiot as i'll be picking up TKK later today to finally see what this destiny thing is all about so what do i know

well, you have fun playing with people while doing the grinds. that's what makes the game great. if your only goal is the get the best gear and that's it, it's not very fulfilling. getting the endgame gear is very rewarding but I found simply playing with cool people is the best experience with Destiny.

we all know the gear can be nerfed or buffed at any time but we still play with what we got.

I've heard from a couple of folks that's he's a footy fan, when did he admit to that though? Was it on some GB content? Early Beastcast episode?

It was mentioned multiple times during GB content. Can't tell where specifically though. I think it was probably mentioned during a Rocket League thing.

Jut to hammer home how bad PSN downloads are. The last 2GB of the patch were all of a sudden supposed to take 10 hours to download. After multiple restarts it's now 7 minutes.

I guess it depends on the quality of the content that you're grinding, if the content is good and challenging I'm far more likely to repeat it and have fun doing so.

Warframe is nice because there currently is no endgame. There are some weapons and Frames that are considered to be on a higher tier than others, but there is very rarely an obsoleting thing thanks in part to the mod system.

I think that's a really nice thing to not have to worry about. I can't imagine a random drop undoing all your work like Brad experienced.

No, those 20 hour raids in Sunwell were absolutely worth it. They were totally fulfilling life experiences, helped me grow as a person and I don't regret them one bit...

I want those two years back.

yeah but i could have fun playing just about any coop game, though.

"I gotta turn that stuff off!"

Yeah, not sure how Patrick is playing with it on. It takes up way too much of the screen.
Yeah the problem is that the Miiverse stuff is either nonexistent or way too much with no middle ground from what I've seen. They should either cap it or at least let you set a filter for none, light, heavy, or full.

fuck me, +30 hours into MGSV and finally got to mission 21.

I'm going to spend like +60 hours finishing this thing arent i?

godspeed to you, drewbert

I don't think Drew is going to mess around too much with the Side Ops, IIRC he's not a big fan of open world games so I'd imagine he'll mostly stick to the main missions.

side missions aren't really optional though. you pretty much need the resources/rewards from playing them to progress...

well, he's going to get super annoyed when he doesn't have a translator then. And then there's the legendary gunsmith stuff plus the
Paz
storyline.

They aren't necessary but it definitely improves your experience. Plus, the game plays so well that maybe he'll enjoy it as much as i do and i NEVER do this side shit in any open world game. I do the campaigns and that's it.

Geesh, I'm already around 60 hours and I just beat that mission.

yeah brah what the hell are you doing lol

even if you do all the side ops i can't imagine how you folks have double my time but are at the same episode

I suck at sneaking and go really slow with crap. I use the side ops to try a bunch of dumb shit and then end up restarting a lot of main missions when shit hits the fan. Plus I'm just really having fun. /shrug

More effort into celebrating Resident Evil than Mega Man. This bloody company.

to their credit, they just released 6 nes games in one collection across multiple platforms.

we live in a world where even a meh resident evil will push to a million copies. Megaman cant do that anymore.

it's business

I still think that besides the occasional story-relevant side ops, Drew should just play some or even most of the side ops off air. Would cut away a bunch of bloat from the video series, while also giving Drew the chance to play more than a few hours of the game every week.

Dan'll surely let him know which Side Ops missions he should be taking care of. Translators are crucial and the legendary gunsmith is nice to have.
