it's the best fake- X-Com game I've played, and I've played god damn near them all.
not counting nu-XCOM, which was very good, but also kind of its own thing.
I'm pretty sure somebody at Activision heard I had some shred of hope left for people as a whole and wanted to correct that issue in the fastest and cheapest way. No other possible explanation has been sufficient.

I'm realizing, as this sort of rage depression sets in, that I was far more okay with the existence of another terrible Tony Hawk game before I saw this much of it in motion. The idea of a bad Tony Hawk 5 is fine, it's the only idea that makes any sense. But the reality of it is so much worse.

It does that loading in and out of missions things even in 'single player mode' by the way

I got a Dreamcast recently and picked up the first two Tony Hawk games. Having played them recently, this seems intentionally bad. Robomodo is seriously, truly, FUCKING TERRIBLE.
"A fundamental misunderstanding of" everything that made Tony Hawk games great.
For what it's worth, I'm also a bit surprised about how strongly I feel here. I was laughing about this dumb game up until earlier this afternoon.
3 is one of my all time favourite game, Tony Hawk is my Sonic in that I'll never completely give up hope.

It looks too easy to skate in this game. I remember playing previous Tonyhawk games you fall every 5 seconds if you hit a wall

This looks like it could be alright on PS Now for a night for 4-5 dollars. But 60? Lol.
