This might be the end for Robomodo then. Why would Activision continue to pay them if they don't even have the Tony Hawk license? Who else is going to enlist them for a skateboarding game with their track record? What else would they even make at this point?

Tony Hawk signed a contract extension with Activision in March 2002, that was supposed to last until 2015 (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/tony-hawk-signs-new-deal-with-activision/1100-2875474/), but digging around I believe that contact apparently ended March 31st 2015. I believe a new contract extension between Mr Hawk and Activision was needed to release this game.

I don't think they're actually an Activision studio. That's why I think they're done. Also, other studios who worked on COD at least had experience with action games.

Yeah, that's the thing with Activision: They publish a lot fewer big games than you think, but the AAA stuff they have is fucking HUGE. Also, Blizzard will always bring in a lot of money.

I really enjoyed the first episodes of the new King's Quest. It is weird to think Activision played a part in that.
