Have they explained why the site doesn't stream at 60? Seems especially weird since the YouTube stream was at 60 so clearly they're already pushing it out live.

I just saw the bombcast notes.... ugh... more Destiny talk? Looks like I'll be skipping this one too. Is anyone else just sick to death about hearing about that game? Because for over a year now all I've heard is "this game is a horrible trainwreck. It has about 3 hours of real content in it, and then they recycle it over and over and over again. It has so many things that could be better" yet everyone is somehow still playing it. I heard that the new expansion is "much better, but still has lots of issues and doesn't fix most of the stuff" but again, people can't stop playing or talking about it. I honestly feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Jeff: Were always talking about 1080p/60fps, at least for stuff that doesnt include any camera shots. Unsurprisingly, Premium Members consume way more video than non-subscribers, so putting video that cost twice as much to host/distribute behind a paywall probably wouldnt actually help.
A lot of people are probably sick of hearing about it, but it's a hugely popular game. I enjoy it more than ever now. The Destiny talk is about 1/3 of the podcast, you could just skip past it!

Destiny deserves the coverage if this expansion fixes the problems people had with it initially, and who's to say Jeff isn't enjoying it now that he's done more than just the QL's worth of time into it? Plus it's their podcast so not much to be done about it.
If anything it'll make getting a PS4 later in the year all the sweeter for me.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying that if and when they do it, it'll just be for everybody. Making it Premium Exclusive doesn't make sense because it doesn't save them a whole lot.

Someone wrote in to the podcast a year or two ago with the same problem at an airport. They were approached by airport security because another passenger had seen them browsing for "giant bombs."
He's not making a value judgement on whether people use the site too much, or even ruling out moving to 1080p.
He's just saying the posters hypothetical (only give 1080p to premium) wouldn't solve the problem the poster imagines (bandwidth).
It's an entirely benign comment.
