I'm surprised Jeff hasn't gotten into it, especially given how shit Tony Hawk is. I'm guessing it being 2D stops it from being the skating power fantasy the old Tony Hawk games were for a lot of people.

Yeah I remember jeff liking the first game a bit, or at least I remember him streaming a bit of him playing it.

Playing it does really make me want a good 3d skateboarding game though. As great as I think the olliolli games are, you obviously don't get to do anything at your own pace, and the details of the tricks you're doing kinda fade into the background while you're looking out for the next obstacle.

It's totally worth playing yourself as it's a hard game to claim that someone is playing wrong. It might actually make you more interested in their playthrough if you play it as you'll potentially see different choices.

Hmm, I can see people having difficulty if it just doesn't click with them. It's one of those games where you have a lot of stuff to think about doing in a short amount of time. If you stick at it though, muscle memory eventually takes over and you don't really need to actively think about it.

I'm not so sure. I've always been bad at multitasking, and that game in some ways requires that to be decent at it. It just didn't feel like muscle memory would help me much, I'm just absolutely horrid at it.

He listened to 2 tapes and gave zero of the fucks. In that setting, I can't even really blame him for that. Nothing in the game seems to interest him beyond the most superficial capacity. I mean I already know the story so I wouldn't need to hear the tapes again anyway. Buuuut I've already stopped watching this series so I really should stop thinking about it.
