I've engaged in those topics using some pretty heated language (I called some people in the AC; Syndicate review thread a "fucking embarrassment", to point at a recent example) and felt pretty safe that I would not get banned, and lo and behold - I'm still here. Don't be an ignorant asshole, it works pretty well. In Gaming at least I almost never see bans that I've found undeserving.

nah, I said serious topics. I would never get heated over the silly shit that kicks off in gaming. It is more the political threads in OT that would attract me and I have seen some pretty head scratching bans. Likely just temp bans but you never know. Sometimes I wonder if the mods would have an easier time if they just shuttered the OT threads and concentrated on gaming, but I guess that would be no fun.

I have never had a game that was half as impactful as Life is Strange was.

I just finished it after getting turned onto it by the Giant Bomb guys and it was just so good. I expect man tears from all three by the end.

I've fucking been around a little while, at least long enough to see patterns. enacting laws to ban child exploitation materials (even the kind that's hand drawn) isn't actually going to destroy freedom of expression
