Aside from the moments of random hilarity that happen in the game I'm not enjoying it as much as I'd have thought I would. I think Drew feels like he's under the gun because he's being recorded so he never ever wants to just take things slowly, try an actually stealthy approach or restart from a checkpoint if things go south. I wish he realized it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Yeah so I think about how I played this game and I was super methodical and went full stealth, watching and waiting and learning and scouting out enemy positions and routines before executing mission objectives.
And at some point I thought it all felt familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it. Finally I realised I was playing these games the same way I do Hitman games where I'm super restrained and only take out enemies If I absolutely have to, and even then I'll try and nibble away at the edges fultoning people or stashing the rubbish stat guards in dumpsters or toilets.
I'm glad I ended up playing a lot of Ground Zeroes as well since you get a handle for non obvious mechanics, like the fact that telling a guard to lie down will keep them there permanently unless there's a combat alert.
A few times I had bases full of conscious dudes lying flat on their stomachs all too terrified to do anything and that was pretty rewarding to accomplish.
