pretty sure the point of the jumping watermark is so people cant blur it out easily in a video

of course since they lifted the nda its pointless, but still

The animated thumbnails don't work on mobile for me, but I'm happy Vinny finally got the porn site technology he always wanted.

It is. Says the gamertag the code was give to. Like a movie screener watermark. I assuming patching it out was too hard after they relaxed the restrictions.

BF1 doesn't look like something i'd enjoy. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and 1943 (the XBL Arcade one) are the only Battlefield games i've liked. I just really don't like the low time to kill on top of the massive environments. You die in an instant and then it feels like it takes too much time to get back to action.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how anyone can trust MS with a console purchase right now with how all over the place their talking has been. 'Scorpio only supports 4k resolutions and not game improvements' 'No it totally supports game improvements too'

'All future MS games will work on PC'''No all future MS games will work on PC that we show at e3' like how can you expect me to drop money for your system when you come off like a bunch of chickens without your head cut off as a team?

It reads a lot like "Why buy an XBONE when the S is around the corner? Why buy an S when the Scorpio is around the corner? Why buy a Scorpio if you can play all the exclusives on a PC?" Only then you consider that the Windows store is a garbage fire so maybe that isn't great either. I'm not super invested either way but it's definitely a wait-and-see situation for anyone with more sense than money.

Like Spencer needs to call a board meeting 'We don't seem to be on the same page here. Here is the plan going forward. Here is what I'm saying. If I find out you're saying something different form what I am saying, I am blowing up the bomb strapped underneath your desk'

If they say enough messages, then they capture every consumer who's interested in the talking points they're making up.

They're grasping at straws with one hand trying to get at Sony's table while shooting themselves in the foot with the other.

They should make another casual styled bite-sized multiplayer only Battlefield game like 1943. Or bring 1943 to the new consoles. That game was real fun.

A lot of Microsoft's troubles in messaging recently come down to the Kotaku report completely tipping their hand over the Scorpio.

It's pretty clear that they didn't plan to talk about the Scorpio at all yet, and only did so because the announcement of the S would have confirmed it anyway.

All for that. Since BF2, BF1943 might've been the only Battlefield to give me want I wanted out of Battlefield. I'd take Bad Company 3, too, and or either.

I have no clue what's going on over there, speaking as an outsider. Spencer is a cool guy going by the E3 streams. Some of the services like commitment to 360 BC is wonderful. At the same time everything I hear about the Xbox is very, we're tossing at the wall to see what sticks. Whether its a failure in messaging or that's what it is, I couldn't say. All I want is Crackdown 3 to be real and Phantom Dusk HD to release.

BF2 was my favorite. The way the commander - squad leaders - squad system worked was brilliant and it led to so many dynamic moments. Plus the maps were huge which meant you could actually go solo or with a buddy to capture a point somewhere and the enemy would have to make the effort to respond

Reckon why the maps got denser has to do with keeping the engagement factor up to be less "boring." But I miss the times when, say, a whole squad jumps in a blackhawk to get somewhere. Traveling by foot or jeep on barren map space where encountering another lone soldier, or a tank trying to flank your team, was a memorable experience. BF3&4 are fun in their own ways but many of those engagement appear designed around choke-points.

My fundamental issue with modern Battlefield games is that there is zero flow to the battles. Every match seems to devolve into a dog chasing its own tail as teams just trade empty capture points back and forth. Battlefield 2 Karkand I still think is the premier Battlefield experience.

Probably been asked loads already but I managed to miss all of the E3 content while I was travelling - what's worth watching? I have already caught up on most of the announcements, so I'm not really interested in watching the conferences unless there is a particularly good one/interesting commentary. Are the after-show segments all worth sitting through?

(I'm not trying to be dismissive, I just don't have time to watch through all of it...)

Phil Spencer Interview + Last Segment with Klepek and co. (Day 2 as well)
Day 3 Last Segment

EA conference was great.

All the night shows were real good, but the Phil Spencer one, the Griffin McElroy, and the Dave Lang/JV/Adam Boyes, were the three best imo.

I have a feeling Cuphead's forced on platforming sections are going to be of a rushed quality and overall hurt the score of the game.

Ain't nothing wrong with a boss rush game.

Look at this duder :D

Cut Danny's Satanic speed freak encounter from the beginning of Alt+F1.

HAHAHA! That was a crazy thing, wasn't it? I kind of wish someone would animate those clipped out moments. I think they could be even funnier. Someone has been doing that for Kinda Funny for a while and are now a regular thing over there and (like The Best of Giant Bomb videos are with Giant Bomb) are now official videos: 100 Bears Attack San Francisco - Kinda Funny Doodles I think someone used to do some for Giant Bomb, but hasn't in a while.

From playing it a year ago, I loved being able to just jump between the bosses without playing levels. Came away hoping there is still a boss rush mode separate from the levels because I don't want levels slowing me down in between them.

No Man's Sky has gone gold! Although my excitement has cooled on the game, I still look forward to playing it and I wish nothing but great things for that studio.

Yup! Just a month and two days away! It'll probably be the last (physical) video game thing I buy before I get PSVR (not that I'm expecting NMS to be PSVR compatible, although that would be awesome).

Yeah I feel like they would have had to announce any kind of VR support by now it if was coming. Oh well, my interest was not dependent on VR! Hope it's good.
