In Brad and Dan's defense, getting a special effects disguise is pretty tricky in the new Hitman episode. And there are a lot of suspicious people.

I'm not the biggest UPF fan to begin with but yeah, the biggest issue is them focusing on their phone between them and not giving a fuck about the fact they have an actual audience watching them.

Last week was really fucking terrible for that.

I haven't been keeping a close eye on this but will the Gary Busey stuff be in the game when they do GOTY edition?

No, it's one of the elusive targets, they're each only available for 48 hours, and you get one shot at playing them.

EDIT: Unless they decide to call it a day when GOTY comes and just release them all or something, I don't know

Austin needs to get some folks together and get a podcast going.

Also we need another on the Beastcast to hopefully get longer episodes. They should just get Russ Frushtick to come on since he already does a podcast with Jeff B.

On the subject of UPF, I think the format is fine, but I'm not a fan of the "I just learned about this game fifteen minutes ago so let's see how badly I can stumble through it."

how do they not notice "SUSPICIOUS" in big letters across the screen

brad is calling foul on the game when it's his own fault lol

I'm sorry but everytime I see someone use the word "pretentious" sincerely to describe Austin my eyes start to glaze over and I lose focus on whatever else that person writes.

Yeah, the use of the word doesn't even make sense. "attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed."

That doesn't fit Austin by any measure.

UPF stopped being good when it lost any sense of unpredictability or spontaneity (Jason plays a fighting game, Drew plays a racing game/sim/phone game of some sort, Dan plays the irreverent game du jour, Brad has a generally boring segment if he's not doing an Illusive Target, etc.). It feels rote, and it has for a very long time. UPF is in that WWE "I watch every week and I don't know why" territory for me, and that bums me out.

Demo Derby continues to be the greatest, though.

Agree to disagree, I guess.

I remember Jeff talking about not wanting to put out an entire game recently released on video which is why they didn't do any recent ER stuff.

but uhhh... that kind of seems like what they're doing with Hitman

Which they also did with Life is Strange, and MGSV, and Contradiction. Things have changed.

I don't have much of problem with GB's output but I could definitely use some more creative/out of the box premium videos.

They really need a replacement for Metal Gear Scanlon and Kerbal. I hope they're cooking something up.

Demo Derby and Game Tapes are cool but they have erratic schedules.

The guys are at their best when challenged to come up with something new.

I also like a Wednesday GBWest live show.

This is probably the first suggestion I've read that I agree with. They need a new single game focused series.

Yeah they are really fun. I get that it can problematic committing to something given the nature of their site but focusing on a single game really injects some life into the site as a whole, people get on board and create fan posters/images/websites etc.

It also gives them some ownership over their content. Dan and Drew have never been as good on Giant Bomb as when they were totally into MGS and really ran with it. They seemed legit proud of the series.

We have Vinnyvania but that's part of the furniture.

The biggest problem with GB right now is that Austin leaving has killed the quality of Gbeast's video content (which had been the best part of the site), especially with how their videos tend to run way too long.

I mean I have to ask, why? Zelda games are slow without prior knowledge or a guide, and fiddling with a puzzle for a while might be kind of terrible.

It's my favourite series and would like to see Drew's first-hand reaction to the series. I've played them most of them several times through so I'm not looking for masterful play. And I've watched enough LPs to know I'm cool with Zelda as a spectator game.

I don't think it'd be any more tedious than, say, Vinny having to replay the same Castlevania level over and over.

Overwatch fans take Overwatch way too seriously going by the comments on that Ana video!

One guy is upset at Dan calling Winston a monkey.

Another guy lost his shit about ribbing Overwatch porn.

Gorillas ain't monkeys.

Zelda doesnt lend itself to a playthrough like MGS does.

While MGS tends to be straightforward, Zelda is a bit aimless unless you know exactly what to do and where to go to next.
