I can assure you they absolutely will talk about it during UPF.
Thursday might be before Friday but you can still talk about Thursday's topics on Friday, but you cannot talk about Friday's topics on Thursday.
It'd at least be neat to see a short reaction/opinion video shortly after the announcement like they've done for certain news in the past.

Nx is being revealed tomorrow? Fucking finally.
I'm not sure if I should get a wii u before nx. It'll almost certainly be the last of nintendo's stock and has BC to Wii and virtual console. I'm not sure. It'd be easier to choose if it weren't so expensive for its worth. There's also the fact Wii already has amazing optimization so is Wii u nexcesary for that purpose? On the hand Mario 3D world looks adorable.
