I played quite a bit if it on Xbone and it's even great in console. I might re-buy it on PS4 though if it gets good Pro support.

Playdate can be continuous cuz the GBEast guys do that depending on their mood. They beat a few games that way. I'm guessing they'll see if Elite is good enough for being a long term feature depending on how it goes.

The Elite stream will be interesting. As someone who has absolutely fallen in love with the game and has been playing since release, my guess is people will HATE it.

Did you see what happened to Driveclub -> Driveclub VR. Yeah, it is unlikely.
Shame Nintendo aren't a bit looser with having employees talking a bit freely on podcasts like the other firms.

Hah! I actually enjoyed Driveclub VR*. But, I think are more apt comparison could be Eve: Valkyrie, which is by all accounts is on par, for the most part, with its PC counterparts.
*To be fair, I did get it for free from Target due to a B2G1 sale, which is how I also got the original Driveclub in 2014.
Not really. Elite is probably gonna be a 60fps game anyways on PS4, where Driveclub they had to double the FPS. I think there's a real chance here.
also this is crazy. I have never checked out the Paradise Eve games. Are they still worth checking out today?
They weren't as bad until that one dude decided to talk about things above his pay grade.

I think he can be like 90% of the time, sure. This interview that he did the other day though...pretty good. Would love to see that Reggie on the couch. Bill Trinen works too though.

I watched the Fire Emblem phone video again and I have to say including the "well shit, I got something completely useless." part of all those games in the promotional video is a pretty Nintendo move.

Same, I found 2 was head and shoulders above the first. I wasn't huge on some of the story choices in terms of the implications on the greater universe (they leaned into the silliness a bit too hard for my liking), but still loved nearly every bit. One of my favourite ever co-op experiences, too.

Portal 2 was a great game but playing the first Portal without knowing what it was was an experience that can't be matched. Portal was this "What's this doing in my Half-Life/Team Fortress box?" weird pack-in game when I bought the Orange Box.

I had this exact experience. Played Portal 1 without knowing anything about it and was floored by it. I picked up Orange Box at launch for the other games originally. But I still prefer Portal 2 more for its world building and humor.
I'd say yes. I loved PE1 at the time but I don't know how well it's aged, particularly the writing. It's still a very unique (horror JRPG set in NYC where you play as a female cop) and interesting game. Superb soundtrack too. PE2 is more of a Resident Evil type game. It never clicked with me like the first one did but it has its fans.

This is my experience with Super Mario Galaxy and the sequel. Way less extreme, but damn, they put Mario in Space and it was great! Was not expecting much after Sunshine too.
SMG2 is great too but the first game blew my mind

It's like a double pun, too! Orange is the default texture of walls and boxes in Hammer, and it came in a box that was orange (if you bought it physically)
