I'd like to see them do Ninja Gaiden, but if they're looking for something multiplayer, maybe Battletoads? It's got a decent mix of frustrating and walk in the park.

I'd say yes. I loved PE1 at the time but I don't know how well it's aged, particularly the writing. It's still a very unique (horror JRPG set in NYC where you play as a female cop) and interesting game. Superb soundtrack too. PE2 is more of a Resident Evil type game. It never clicked with me like the first one did but it has its fans.

I've been playing the game the past few days and the writing itself doesn't really hold up. The overall story itself is fine, but the real joy comes with the setting, basic premise, and the soundtrack. Some people don't like it, but I like the combat system as well. Younger me was completely blown away by the game because of it's science fiction/horror slant and it was ATB combat but you could move around the fighting space freely.
I agree it's worth checking out. I'd like to play the second game again as I never finished it either and I love RE2. I will say it hasn't aged well graphically either...which I know puts people off of some games.
True. But the witness environmental puzzles garnered basically no reaction from me and I didn't even notice the Doom gun cock.

I have two distinct memories about the Parasite Eve franchise:
1.) The first time my parents ever caught me looking for porn was when "parasite eve pornography" popped up in the search history.
2.) For whatever reason, the woman's screams in this part of PE2 scared me so much that I had to play with the television muted.

Oh totally, Inside had the best moment of those three for me. I think I was reeling from both Titanfall moments being eliminated that I just didn't feel like I had a horse in the race anymore.

Yeah, PS3 did some neat things. Portal 2 had PC cross-play. UTIII had PC mods that worked with the game. Cool things can happen when a console is backed against the wall. I'm not sure if you can even do the Portal 2 cross-play anymore, though. I think they removed the ability to link a Steam account to a PSN one, which was required for that to work.
