Sorry Vinny.

But honestly once Beast in the East or Blue Bombin finishes, that's a gap left for another game to play weekly. Why not give the audience what they're clammoring for? I don't know why fulfilling demand has to be seen as such a weird thing in this thread or in Giant Bomb in general.

I'll take it with just GBEast without Jeff too.

If we didn't try new things and just relied on what worked in the past there never would have been a P4 ER. There's nothing inherently wrong with entertaining the idea of doing something like that, but constantly walking and looking backwards is a great way to fall on your ass. If it's not going to happen, jumping to "it just doesn't make sense, they just must be lazy" is the weird thing, in my opinion.

Because they're not your dancing monkeys. If you don't like the content, stop watching or giving them money.

Going through the last few pages. Man, you really want that P5 ER haha. I'm all for whatever they do as long as they're not forced into it and they feel like doing it.

e: This is coming from someone who adores the P4 ER.

New vlog from Drew is great (will go live on YouTube for non patrons in an hour).

This is starting to feel real! Cool gear stuff

Just look at how many hours of entertainment we got out of Project B.E.A.S.T. Speaking of which, will we ever get a return of Project B.E.A.S.T. as a series (even if it revolves around something other than KSP)?

Also, if you guys are ever looking for something to Quick Look (or do an Unfinished of), Parkitect is really fun. It's still in alpha, but it's a Roller Coaster Tycoon-esque game. Unlike Planet Coaster, Parkitect is more like the original 2 RCT games (it has an isometric viewpoint). They are constantly adding to it, improving it greatly with each update.

Have you seen them during UPF.

It's the end of the week. They're kicking back and relaxing, I don't see your point? I've always taken UPF as a chill, relaxing stream that I always like chilling out to when I'm back from a long and hard day. Having UPF and the weekend to look forward to is great.

Persona 5 is awesome.

They'd probably like it a bunch, everything is real snappy and that "auto-use weakness" thing during combat is awesome.

But it's not happening. These are different times. I don't want them to do something they're not really into, it's not fun to watch.

Time to let it go.

Since we are all requesting random stuff now, I want a Swat 4 coop feature.
Get on that.

I never, not for one second, expected a P5 ER and I'm surprised some people actually did tbh. Not that I would say no though.

Take note that I never seriously called you guys lazy. If anything I was the one entertaining the idea of you guys doing more work than visible with a secret ER being recorded.

If that's your reasoning for not doing anything related to P5 then I can accept it. Though I will add that I consider you guys great enough at your job that you won't fall on your ass if you did a nostalgia series.

No, that's stupid. I never said I disliked their current content. If anything GBEast is making the best content they have ever done. All I was doing was giving feedback, as someone who has been a fan for a near decade, and guess what, Vinny read it and replied. It's not some crazy notion that they actually listen to what their fans have to say.

Hamchan, have you read Atlus video guidelines?

-In-game Content Limit: Please limit video content through the in-game date of 7/7.

-You can post however many additional videos you’d like, but please limit each to be at most 90 minutes long.

-No major story spoilers, and I’ll leave that up to your good judgment. If you need some guidelines, avoid showing/spoiling the ending segments of the first three palaces. While you can show initial interactions with Yusuke, avoid his awakening scene, and that whole deal about THE painting. Also, don’t post anything about a certain student investigator.

-I know I mentioned not showing the end of each palace, but you can grab footage from the Kamoshida boss fight. However, don’t capture video from the other major boss fights.

-Must not focus solely on cutscenes/animated scenes, should prominently feature dungeon crawling/spending time in Tokyo.

If you decide to stream past 7/7 (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT DOING THIS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED), you do so at the risk of being issued a content ID claim or worse, a channel strike/account suspension.

Even if everyone in Giant Bomb wanted the Endurance Run to happen, they can't with Atlus in the way.

I'm assuming that Battlegrounds game is complete shite because it's suddenly popular on Steam with zero fanfare.

I'm guessing you don't even casually open Twitch.

I'm not blaming you. But it's been the most popular game not called League of Legends since it launched, even getting #1 overall for long periods. I don't understand the hype for this one but it's definitely out there.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
This is me waiting for everyone to shut the fuck up about the P5 ER.

It will only stop when they announce Persona 6 and then they will clamor for an ER of that.

By that time though, maybe Vinny's kid will be running the ER.

I have given up hope that they would do a Hollow Knight QL. Jason apparently tried it for a bit a bombcast or two ago, but clearly didn't get far enough to find the joy in it. Oh well.

Y'all should still play that game. It's wonderful.

Although putting down Persona 5 to do so would be a big ask.

Nah I saw it. I blasted Atlus for being so short sighted and such prudes in 2017. It's a really sour note on what should have been a great launch for a long anticipated and highly acclaimed game.

I appreciate the sentiment, and I know it comes from a good place of enjoying what we do.

But when we read stuff like:

"The "they have families" excuse doesn't really work when half the world is married or have family to look after, and they don't get Mondays off, or get to come into work at 10am, or are doing much more laborious work at more hours in general."

I know to me, and other people here, it sounds like it's because we're eating cheese and sipping wine all day. I like to think we're pretty open about our operation but it's hard to read that kind of misinformation. Like, there aren't Monday's off. 1-2 prep for QLs includes downloading, playing, and everything leading up to recording. It gets a bit maddening seeing some of that stuff either intentionally or unintentionally put out there. It's not really your responsibility to understand any of it, but I respect the work, effort, and how much of their lives this team has given to Giant Bomb over the years and I know how damaging and deflating chatter like that can be.

Now if you'll excuse me. My cheese is getting cold... or warm... or whatever fancy cheese does.

I'm happy playing Persona 5 on my own to be honest. On 4/20 (hell yeahs) I went into the first
palace and cleared all the way to the treasure in one day. It was pretty tough but I got a bunch of money, items and Personas for fusing along the way. Now I should have tons of free time to score questionable drugs from that sexy doctor and read about pirates.

If GB ever does anything with P5 great! I'd love to watch any of them play it. If not, I'm happy to watch them play something else they're interested in.

That Thimbleweed Park clown was fucking terrible as an insult comic. I get that that's sort of the point, but when it's done right its actually a great time. I used to work a job that included insult comics and our two guys were genuinely hilarious (it helped that you were throwing tomatoes at them)

Thanks. You guys put a ton of work into stuff, I know, and there's so much behind the scenes work I know we're not privy to

<3. Ever since the Hotspot/On The Spot days, you guys made it really easy for me to get through some tough shit in my life. Thank you.

I'm a relative newcomer to GB (only started watching/listening/subscribing a year and a half ago or so) but just wanted to say I really appreciate the hard work you guys do. The content (both new and old) you guys produce have gotten me through some tough times and provided a lot of laughs!

This gets said every time but it's such a bummer that GB staff only seems to pop in here when they feel they have to defend themselves. Hope you tomorrow goes better for you, Vinny.

I must say that Thimbleweed Park humor was a bit on the nose for me. I got some weird Twin Peaks vibes from the game but overall, it looks like a neat game just not for me.

The whole insult clown segment was ehhh for me.

I just watched The Rock and I don't really get the adoration Dan has for that movie. It's fine, but almost all of the dialogue from the soldiers sounds like that Navy SEAL copy pasta. The dialogue is cheesy in that Michael Bay/90's blockbuster way and there's some stuff that you roll your eyes at nowadays (the effeminate/gay stereotype stylist). I enjoyed it, but I'd rather watch The Hunt for Red October again.
